Getting Started
McKesson Quality eMeasures is
available to customers who have
installed the required EHR
technology and implemented
codified and prescriptive clinical
content. To capture the data
necessary for metric calculation,
organizations must be live on the
following applications within the
Paragon

Medication Reconciliation
Medication Administration
Clinical Assessments
ED Management
The implementation of McKesson
Quality eMeasures begins within
approximately 30 days of EHR
go-live and spans approximately
four weeks. McKesson provides the
following services:
Assistance with data auditing
and validation
System administration education
Scorecard navigation and
drill-level functionality
To receive Medicare and Medicaid
reimbursements under the Health
Information Technology for
Economic and Clinical Health
(HITECH) Act, hospitals must report
on 15 hospital quality measures
using certified electronic health
record (EHR) technology to collect
and calculate data. Manual data
abstraction is not allowed. McKesson

calculates and
submits meaningful use quality
measures to the Centers for
Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) and
the states, providing an integrated
approach to meeting reporting

extracts data, calculates each
measure and displays results in a
dynamic scorecard, attestation
report or submission file that
