Marine condensing units are designed and produced by
YORK for long service in heavy sea conditions
Factory designed and assembled units with integrated condenser, liquid receiver and heat exchanger for mini- mum space requirements and easy installation.
Designed for various HFC or HCFC refrigerants
Designed for air conditioning cooling capacities, 50-450 kW Compressors Compressors are the latest of YORKs world renown CMO and SMC multicylinder, directly or belt driven types. They include:
cylinder unloading capacity regulation
positive lubrication by integral oil pump
integral safety valve
integral suction strainer
suction and discharge isolating valves
crankcase heater
oil level sight glass
oil charging and evacuation valves. Capacity regulation Capacity regulation may be actuated manually or automati- cally to provide the following capacity steps:
CMO 24: 50%, 100%
CMO 26/SMC 106: 33%, 67%, 100%
CMO 28/SMC 108: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%
With PLC control all CMO compressors have 4-step capacity regulation. Condenser, liquid receiver and heat exchanger The condenser is a cleanable, shell-and-tube section. The condenser shell incorporates a liquid receiver volume and a sight glass. The receiver element incorporates a liquid/suction heat exchanger section. The tubes are CuNi for seawater and Cu for fresh water. The shell and tube plates are steel. The end covers are cast iron. For seawater applications, the tube plates and end covers are coated with Rilsan, except for the smallest condensers which have red brass covers. The suc tion/liquid heat exchanger is incorporated to ensure safe operation and improve the compressor performance. Condenser pressure safety relief valve set to open at the design pressure. Refrigerant filter/drier system Refrigerant filter/drier system is included and provides:
liquid refrigerant filter/drier with isolation valves
liquid line sight glass with moisture indicator
refrigerant charging valve. Gauge panel Gauge panel with suction, discharge and oil pressure gauges. These glycerine filled gauges are easy to read and provide a long service lifetime. Either end for water connections: Customers choice. The above technical information is subject to reservations of errors and updated product changes Optional PLC unit control We offer PLC-based control as standard. With PLC control the pressure gauges and the low/high and oil pressure cut-outs are replaced by pressure sensors with readings and settings from the PLC control panel. Traditional unit controls We can still offer traditional controls as an option. Traditional unit controls include:
Low pressure cut-out, which will stop the compressor at a pre-set minimum suction pressure. Automatic reset after stop.
High pressure cut-out, which will stop the compressor at a pre-set maximum discharge pressure. Manual reset required after stop.
Low oil pressure cut-out, which will stop the compressors at a pre-set minimum differential pressure. The cut-out incorporates an electro-mechanical time delay and is manually reset after stop. Classification The design and construction is approved by all leading Classification Societies. Specific certification must be stated at time of order. 0 5 . 0 9 Johnson Controls Marine - HVAC&R Jens Juuls Vej 28 8260 Viby J Denmark Phone +45 87 36 35 00 Fax +45 87 36 35 01 www.johnsoncontrols.com cg-eur-dk-vibymarine@jci.com
