cast with live guests. I supervised and copy edited stories from our anchors, and reporters in
our bureaus in New York, Washington, DC. Also I managed reports from our bureaus and re-
porters in Turkey, Kenya, Germany, China, Russia, and Egypt.

Produced Weekly Africa and the US Weekly Report. Desk top editing using the Edius

Volunteer Journalism, Kampala, Uganda Summer 2009

Wrote a 1-hour documentary about the plight of the poor and orphans in the outskirts of
Kampala, Uganda. To get the story we navigated through pockets of violent civil unrest.
The project raised public awareness of impoverished nations and steps that could be taken
to address the problem. Feedback from audiences was overwhelmingly positive.

Produced and wrote for weekend newscasts and fill-in producer/writer on weekdays.
Produced and reported a series sampling and analyzing the quality of food at various fast-
food establishments throughout the Delaware Valley, which caused numerous such restau-
rants to examine and improve their standards.
Won the 1998 William Penn Award, chosen by viewers for pioneering positive television.
Produced consumer news reports.
