ABSTRACT
The purpose of this descriptive research is to present the awareness of the respondents in the said
study, and to quantify the results of the effectiveness of organic architecture in the modern world
and know the possible suggestions for sustainability.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following question:
1. How effective is Organic Architecture in Modern world?
2. How climate and terrain affect Architectural Design?
3. How the design can affect the environment?
4. What are the possible solutions to build forms which are more natural than nature
itself?
5. How can we create suitable and initiated diff. constructing methods to adapt to the
environment?
This study uses the descriptive research design in order to obtain factual information
concerning the current researches.
The data is coming from primary sources and secondary sources, through architecture
students and existing studies, books and the like.
The qualitative data is analyzed through the gathered data from the survey and from the
research through existing studies and books.

Acknowledgement
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my Professor, Maribel Belleza. Thank you for the
moral support and patience, for every bit of time, criticism and challenging guidance you offered. I
could not have done it without your inspirational help and absolute faith.
I am also thankful to all my friends; amongst them, my special thanks go to Emmanuel
Macalino, Quincy Montiza and Twinkle Dilao for being with me, supporting me and
encouraging me through all stages of my study. I should also say my deep thanks to my
supportive cousin Lidi April Erazo who has been always my great support throughout my study
and she has never left me alone.
At last but not least, the deepest thanks go to my family; my parents, my Uncle and Aunt for the
support they provide me throughout my life. Without their understanding and help this research
would remain only a dream.
Thank you all

Conclusion
This research has aimed to readdress the subject to whether the idea of organic
architecture is effective to apply in our modern society and how it will change the world
in order to achieve the sustainable environment.
Through the data that I have gathered, I, therefore conclude that this organic architecture
is not a perfect ideal for the sustainable environment but an alternative and efficient
approach to lessen the environmental problems. Through this philosophy, we can reduce
the pollution and control the rapid changes and stop the destruction of the nature in
constructing buildings. I believed that, as an architecture student, a designer or an
architect will not have to destroy and remove lots of trees and plants in order to build, I
agree to what Frank Lloyd says that form and function should be one, it means that the
building should grow with the nature, it should be harmonize to the environment.
Well, in order to achieve this sustainable environment there should be lots of
considerations and smooth applications. There are a vice versa effects of the architecture
and the modern world, the effects of architecture in the modern world is that it will
sustain the satisfaction of the people, cost of efficiency and the way of living. Inversely,
modern world can affect the design and the structure which can be suited to
modernization.
Finally, this research aims to make a contribution towards environmental and
architectural studies and cultural resource management in terms of architectural design
principles.

Recommendation
Based on the findings, the researcher gives the following recommendation:
1. Architecture students should be aware of the importance of their role in creating
architecture or designing.

2. The researchers may do further studies on the significance of the design
considering environment.

3. The researchers should further studies on interpreting the values of nature and
architecture within the framework of modern architectural aspects.

4. This study is not considered as an invitation to return back to the traditional
building style and abandoning the contemporary living schemes. It can be
recommended to benefit from the traditional types which have proved to be
successful, and trying to make it compatible with the present circumstances in a
manner which guarantees the optimum usage of available local resources, reducing
energy and money consumption and improving and developing the modern houses.

5. Organic architecture consists of building with design-in adaptability and responds to
change of circumstances and needs. It recommends the benefits of this form of design
can be extensive. Buildings could remain in use longer.
