Summary
Indonesia is a thrive country which have a lot of citizen in the world. Every human activity in
society must be filled with a good standaritation because this thing is should be give to every citizen.
One of the aspect of life society that should have a good standaritation is water. Clean water more
difficult to be found because of many problem in the city river. More than 50% river in the big city in
Indonesia is dirty because influanced by industry. The textile industry uses large amounts of water for
dying and washing. One of example dirty river in Indonesia is Citarum River in Cipeundeuy
Padalarang West Java. Dirty river because contaminant danger chemistry from a factory. Purpose
from BILOSAN product is slump area, field area, river area, factory area and the other place. Moringa
oleiferas seed, chitosan, and Pilea triniveriasleaf is very benefit to overcome the problem of dirty
water. Aspect from that materials, it can call BILOSAN. Moringa oleiferas seed can handle the
problem because it can collect sediment in the floor surface. Some sediments can be absorb by
chitosan. On the other hand, it can be coagulant to floor surface. Then, Pilea triniverias leaf can
neutralize smell from dirty water. Quality of the product is save for environtment, decrease seafood
rubbish, and this product is not dangerous. Standart of chitosan that can be tolerant of the body is 6,7
gram.
Motivation
Shrimp shell and crab has reached 20-30% chitin content[1]. Chitin can be acylated chitosan.
Chitosan is obtained from N-deacetylation of chitin. Both these poly saccharides are copolymers of
(1-4) linked N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and D-glucosamine units[2]. Then, Chitin the second - most
abundant biopolymer, and its deacetylated product, chitosan, are high molecular - weigh biopolymers
and are recognized as versatile, environmentally friendly raw materials [3]. Due to its
biocompatibility, biodegradability and bioactivity, itis more and more considered as a very interesting
substance for diverse applications as a biomaterial[4].Chitosan behaves as a polycationic electrolyte in
acidic solution, which means a highly cationic charged inacid solution [5]. Chitosan also contains
butylosar, which has a strong positive charge, and can bind to the negative charge of the other
compounds. Thus, Chitosan especially can be used in water purification and waste water treatment is
also used for the recovery of proteins and binds heavy metals, dyes and pesticides. Pilea leaves are
often consumed in the community as fresh vegetables. However, it is not optimize. Content inspection
results showed a group of steroid compounds/triterpenoid alkaloids and flavonoids, compounds that
can neutralize the odor. So, this leaves can also be used as a absorbant to reduce the smell of sewage
in the water. Research of The Environmental Engineering Group at the University of Leicester,
United Kingdom, has long studied the potential use of various natural coagulant in water treatment
processes small scale, medium, and large. Their research focused on the potential of the coagulant of
grain powder plant Moringa oleifera. These plants contain active substance rhamnosyloxy-benzyl-
isothiocyanate, capable adsorption mud particles and metals contained in the waste water of the
suspension. The plant grows in northern India, but now it spread everywhere throughout the tropics,
including Indonesia. Scientists in India say pollen seeds able to clean up 90% of the total bacteria,
such asE. coli in the local river water within 20 minutes.
Result
The technology can treat domestic and industrial waste sources such as metal (Grap.1). The
technology is tolerant to inflow fluctuation, has no complicated maintenance procedures and is
without the use of chemicals at any stage. The treated water can be readily used for infiltration or
irrigation to the paddy field or any field.Benefit of BILOSAN is no complex maintenance procedures,
no chemical input such as active carbon. Based on the above discussion, it can be inferred that the
rarefaction of water using BILOSAN into a creative innovation in the utilization of raw materials that
iseco friendly. This innovation, able to reduce the expenses of the community. With this innovation
will be created a business opportunity (Fig.1). This innovation, can reduce the cost of the society.
Finally it can boost up job vacancy and advantage rubbish material (Fig.2).
