FUTUHE EVMGELISTIG EFFORTS
Just recently the Yahez congregation
launched a planned -evangelistic program to
cover a year's time. A committee composed
of Ed Crandell, Hector Gonzales, and Pedro
Hemandes has proposed a one week evangel
istic meeting every three months using the
services of a guest Kexican or American ev
angelist of outstanding ability. Each ^dJJL
be called for two weeks, the additional
week to be used with one of the other area
congregations. Three men have already been
contacted, and one is Just completing two
weeks of preaching in the area. Brother
Roberto Floras has been with us the second
and third weeks of February. Brother Gil
Contreres is scheduled for late April or
early ICay, . Brother Dean Gary is scheduled
for mid-summer.
TRANSPORTATION FOR ARTDRO
The first week of February, Arturo
Ramirez purchased cne of the light weight
type motorcycles to provide transportation
for his work. He is very proud of this
helpful tool and even Ed Crandell gets to
rido it once in a while. Payments on this
motor bike have produced a decided strain
on Arturo's meager income. If any of our
friends would like to help him with one of
the ^2500 a month payments, we are sure he
woTild bo very grateful. These gifts can be
channeled through the Crandell's Forwarding
Agent if desired.
fiflsi II spfliis
Ed Crandell preached his first full ser
mon in the Spanish language at Polanco on
January IS. Since then he has preached
again at Yahez. It is still very difficult
and takes several hours of preparation, but
continuing classroom study of the language
improves his ability each week.

HITHH RECENT IJEEKS THE HORK OF TIE
MISSIONARIES IN THE GUADALAJARA AREA OF
miCO HAS EXPANDED. INTO-ANOTHER RIPE-AND
NEEDY F2ELD.
Glintcn Looney, four and one-half year
veteran missionary to Mexico, now spends
part of his weekends in the City of Que-
retaro, State of Queretaro, abcut a five-
hour drive east of Guadalajara. Brother
Looney has long had an interest in this
area, and the time novr seems ripe to ciJ.-
tivate a work there. The City of Queretaro
is a rapidly e:<panding industrial area
with several U S, manufacturers having
American supervisory personnel moving in
to the areao This new industry is caus
ing a large Influx of Mexican population
and the city is grc^Ting very rapidly.
Brother Looney drives to Queretaro on
Saturdays, calls and teaches among the
Mexicans Saturday evenings, preaches for
a new English language congregation on
Sunday mornings, and then drives back to
Guadalajara in time for the sorvico at
Lomas de Polanco on Sunday evenings.
To fill the gap in Guadalajara, others
are assuming additional duties' each week.
Hector Gcnzalos, one of the young men of
the Yahez church, preaches at Polanco
each Sunday morning. jlrturo Ramirez,
graduate of Colegio Biblico, loads the
Yahez workr The Crandolls and Brother
Ramirez drive to San Luis for an after
noon service there aftr.r the English lan
guage service led by Brother Crandell in
the momingc All personnel are back in
Guadalajara to load the services at Yahez
and Polanco on Sunday evenings.
These increased efforts accGlerate the
schedule of all concerned and it is hoped
that another 2oalo-.:s Mc:d.can preacher can
bo influenced to come to this area in the
near future. Bo praying for an effective
addition to our workers.

The special appeal for the Uurlitzer

received into the fund was $386.00, which
is included above vdth Special Gifts. The

We wish to express our gratitude to all
who so readily supported this work. Aside
from a few weeks at the beginning, Ed and
Marilyn have not had to spend excessive
time and money to seek support; freeing
them to concentrate on the work of Christ.
The Mission has made every effort to be a
good steward of your gifts. We pray for
your .continued support so that His Will may
