10 REGLAS DE ORO EN LA PREVENCIN DE CUIDADO DE LA MANO

Este ToolBox recuerda las prcticas seguras de manipulacin manual y muestra la forma de mejorar los
mtodos de trabajo, evitar riesgos y prevenir accidentes con las manos.

HERRAMIENTAS DE TRABAJO PORTTILES
Use la herramienta correcta para cada tarea y nunca para cualquier tarea
para la que no estaba hecha.
Dar otra herramienta, siempre presente que se sujete la primera.
No use un cortador/cuchilla hacia la direccin de tus manos.
Nunca coger una herramienta del filo de cortea o herramienta pesada de
trabajo hacia abajo.


QUEMADURAS QUMICAS O TRMICAS
Use guantes apropiados cuando se trata de productos qumicos,
Evite el contacto de la piel con productos de grasa o aceite,
El calor y el fro pueden causar quemaduras en las manos: usar guantes de
proteccin,
En caso de una quemadura (qumica o trmica), enjuagar inmediatamente
con agua fra y busque primeros auxilios.


USE LOS GUANTES ADECUADOS
Use guantes protectores cuando trabaje con herramientas,
Use guantes apropiados para cada tipo de trabajo,
Usar guantes que se ajusten a la mano y que sean adecuados para
temperatura ambiente,
Un guante daado es un peligro, tirarlo a la basura.


PREVENIR INFECCIONES
Proteger las heridas y usar guantes para evitar infeccin de las lesiones,
Est alerta a los sntomas de las lesiones que no son claramente visibles,
Cuando est en duda, llamar siempre a un mdico para obtener orientacin.

MAQUINARIA ROTATIVA
Al trabajar cerca de elementos giratorios, tenga cuidado con sus
movimientos,
Verifique los sistemas de seguridad y botones de emergencia antes de
operar la maquina,
Nunca apague los sistemas de seguridad de las mquinas, que estn ah
para protegerte,
Involucrar el sistema de apagado de seguridad antes de poner sus manos
en el interior de la maquina.

RIESGOS ELCTRICOS
Asegrese de alimentacin de energa est apagada antes de tomar los
cables o conductores sin aislamiento con las manos desnudas,
Nunca use joyas que podran iniciar un arco o la corriente elctrica.

HERRAMIENTAS DE TRABAJO INMOVILIZADAS
Evite las lesiones, utilice las herramientas de trabajo adecuadas,
Familiarizarse con las herramientas y equipos,
Utilice nicamente las herramientas perfectamente adaptadas para cada
trabajo,
Utilice siempre los dispositivos de proteccin de la mquina.


PELLIZCO y MORDERDURA
Nunca deje sus manos en el borde de un bal (caja de distribucin, el panel
de seguridad, caja de herramientas ...) sin asegurar el sistema de apertura,
Nunca deje sus manos en un marco de la puerta, la puerta del coche,
armario o cajn.

MTODOS DE TRABAJO
Asegure los objetos en un tornillo de banco para cortar, perforar o
rectificado,
Al operar las mquinas en un banco de trabajo, asegurarlas,
Utilice nicamente llaves que encajan perfectamente las tuercas y cabezas
de tornillos,
No llevar anillos, relojes y pulseras en el trabajo.


HIGIENE
Siempre lvese bien las manos:
despus de ir al bao, fumar, un descanso;
antes de comer, ir a casa o ponerse los guantes

10 GOLDEN RULES ON HAND CARE PREVENTION

This ToolBox remind the safe manual handling practices and show how to improve working methods, avoid
risks and prevent accidents involving hands.

PORTABLE WORKING TOOLS
Use the right tool for every task and never for any task it wasnt made for.
Handing another a tool, always present it handle first.
Do not use a cutter towards the direction of your hands.
Never catch a cutting edge tool or heavy work tool falling down.


CHEMICAL OR THERMAL BURNS
Wear appropriate gloves when dealing with chemicals
Avoid skin contact with greasy and oily products
Heat and cool can cause burns to your hands: wear protective gloves
In case of a burn (chemical or thermal), rinse immediately with cold water
and seek first-aid


WEAR THE APPROPRIATE GLOVES
Use protective gloves when working with tools
Wear proper gloves for every type of job
Use gloves that fit and that are suitable for the ambient temperature
A damaged glove is danger, throw it away.


PREVENT INFECTIONS
Protect wounds & wear gloves to prevent injuries from infection
Be alert to symptoms of injuries that are not clearly visible
When in any doubt, always call a doctor for guidance.

ROTATING MACHINERY
Working near rotating elements, be careful of your movements
Check safety systems and emergency buttons before operating
Never turn off machines security systems, they are there to protect you
Engage security shutdown system before putting your hands inside.

ELECTRIC RISKS
Ensure power is off before taking cables or bare conductors with bare hands
Never wear jewelries that could prime an arc or electric current.

IMMOBILIZED WORKING TOOLS
Avoid injuries, use the proper working tools
Familiarize yourself with tools and equipment
Only use tools perfectly adapted for each job
Always use the machine protection devices.


PINCHING & CRUSHING
Never leave your hands on a trunks edge (switch box, safety panel, tool
box) without securing the opening system
Never leave your hands in a door frame, car door, cupboard or drawer.

WORKING METHODS
Secure objects in a vice for cutting, piercing or grinding
When operating machines on a work bench, secure them
Only use wrenches that perfectly fit the screw nuts & bolt heads
Do not wear rings, watches & bracelets at work.


HYGIENE
Always thoroughly wash your hands:
o after going to the bathroom, smoking, a break
o before eating, going home or putting your gloves on.
