LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
IS MUCH MORE THAN NASCAR
THE MOST DIVERSE RACING FACILITY IN THE WORLD HOSTS
RACING, MUSIC FESTIVALS, AIR RACES
When more than 150,000 fans fock to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the
annual Kobalt 400 NASCAR race on March 9, they will be a part of the largest
sporting event in the United States west of Texas. The Las Vegas race has
become one of the most popular in the sport and the list of winners features
such legends as Jimmie Johnson (four times), Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and
former Las Vegas resident Kyle Busch.
But as big as that race is each spring, it is just
one of many big events that takes place at Las
Vegas Motor Speedway each year.
We believe Las Vegas Motor Speedway is
the most diverse motorsports facility in the
world, said Chris Powell, president of LVMS.
With more than 1,400 event days each year,
our speedway gives new meaning to the term
high performance. Were home to three driving
experiences and hundreds of corporate events.
And our racing is not limited to the hot rods
of NASCAR and the 330-mph dragsters of
the National Hot Rod Association. We stage
Americas largest electronic music festival the
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), which this year
will draw close to 400,000 people over three
nights and in the fall we ll host the Red Bull
Air Races, one of only two North American
venues to stage this international f lying series.
We also feature a very aggressive track-rental
calendar that has included golf s RE/MAX
World Long Drive Championship as well as the
launching of BMWs driverless car.
