-HELP CENTRAL AMERICAN MIGRANTS THROUGH MCC: With an
unprecedented number of Central American families fleeing violence and poverty in
their home countries and arriving at the U.S. border, Mennonite Central Committee
(MCC) has begun an initial response and is planning further assistance. For years
MCC has provided services and resources as U.S. congregations welcome
newcomers, and supported projects to address the root causes of migration so more
people can choose not to leave home. You can give to this effort at
donate.mcc.org/migrants, by calling 1-888-563-4676, or by sending donations to
MCC U.S., 21 South 12th Street, Akron, PA 17501, specifying "Central American
migrants." MCC also invites your prayers for these families; see mcc.org/act-for-
migrant-families for background information, a faith reflection and suggestions for
Christian advocacy.
-We are looking at an MDS work week the third or fourth week of February
2015. Those wishing to contribute toward expenses may do so throughout the year
using the offering envelopes. Please designate the contribution to MDS 2015 Work
Week.
Happy Birthday! Leah Sauder and Dexter Leid today, Kevin Swatski on Tues., and
Maria Musselman on Sat.
