FOREWORD

Airport Particulars were first adopted by the Airport Maintenance Section of the Air
Transportation Office on 1999 to create aerodrome data available for the AMS,
other offices and higher authorities as their reference and to provide technical
information related to Airports.

On October 21, 2013, A Service Order signed by Engr. FREDERICK G. SAN
FELIX, Officer In-Charge, ADMS creating a Team of ADMS personnel to
facilitate in the preparation, documentation and consolidation of all necessary data
for the airport profiles, in software program:

VIRAC AIRPORT


Virac Airport is the only airport serving the island province of Catanduanes in the Philippines. It
is located in the capital, Virac. The airport is classified as a Principal Class 2, or a minor
commercial domestic airport, by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, a body of the
Department of Transportation and Communications that is responsible for the operations of not
only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international
airports.
