M.Sc., Chemistry is a two years post graduate program spread over four semesters and affiliated to
Bangalore University, The course covers all the main branches of chemistry in the first year-
Physical, Inorganic and Organic.


Pure Organic chemistry is dealt with in the final year which includes reaction Mechanisms,
Organometallics, Stereochemistry etc

Eligibility:

A candidate must have secured 40% marks in the aggregate and studied
Chemistry (cognate subject) securing 50% marks in this subject at the B.Sc. level
and studied Mathematics at 10+2 or Pre-University level.
Curriculum:

The course consists of 16 instructional papers and 8 practical papers spread over
4 semesters.
