Project #3 : Throughput testing on Netgear Access Points Client : Netgear. Duration : Jan 2013 to June 2013 Description: The Project Involves Testing The Throughput Of Netgear Access Points, For Throuput Testing We Used The Iperf And Chariot Tool, And Tests Are Conducted For Different Orientations Of Access Points By Selecting Some Fixed Positions In Shield Chamber.
Environment:
OS : Linux Packet Analyzer : Inssider, wire shark Traffic Tools : iperf, chariot ixia.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Study and analysis of requirements for the testing. Involved in GUI validation, Functional, Feature and Security Testing. Reporting Bugs and Daily status reporting to client and off-shore manager.
Project #2 : Unified Communication testing on Aastra MBU-400 Wireless DECT Gateway Client : Aastra Telecom Duration : Apr 2011 to Dec 2012
Overview: The Aastra MBU 400 is an affordable, scalable DECT mobility solution specifically designed for Small Business Bringing superior DECT 6.0 based technology to the Small Business/SOHO market, the MBU 400 offers a reliable, cost effective, multi-handset office mobility solution.
The scope of the project was to test the features of the SIP Unified Communications for the Originating and Terminating endpoints, according to the RFC 3261 specifications, for a successful call establishment with supplementary call features, such as Caller ID Name and Number Call forward, Call Hold, Call Transfer, etc. My team was involved in reading the product implementation document, testing all the messages and their header parameters in creating a successful multimedia communication and generating the test report. We had to input values and the addresses that were with specification mentioned in RFC 3261, in the headers parameters and checked whether a successful communication was being established or not.
Responsibilities:
Involved in the analysis of requirement use cases and in preparation of the test plan. Executing the Feature Test plan from the scratch and ensure the product quality is good against customer requirements. Work through developers to make them understand the bugs, reproduce, fix the bugs. Performed System Testing based on the functional requirements and product specifications of the application
Project #1 : VOIP and SIP Signalling Testing on Aastra 6753 series Client : Aastra Telecom, Noida. Duration : May 2010 to Mar 2011 Description: The Aastra 6753 series is the entry-level terminal of the range, designed as a multi-line terminal which offers a flexible and inter-operable solution at an affordable price. Its screen enables the name of the calling party or called party to be read at a glance. The call by name function gives direct access to the Aastra directory. The terminal has 6 programmable keys and 2 additional keys for managing CCO. A LED indicates a new voicemail message or an unanswered call.
This project is aimed at validating the SIP Signalling on 6753 series. Testing involves Endpoint registration, basic calls flows, and supplementary services, Media session.Supplementary services like Call Hold, Call Forwarding, Call Transfer, and Call Conference.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Created SIP Signalling test processes and UTM test cases Created UTM test bed environment for SIP Protocol Testing Tracked, debugged, logged, and diagnosed various SIP signalling messages Involved in System testing and Regression testing Bug reporting and Preparation of the test report
