BMP pronounced on Wednesday that it wont accept the election results as it was not a free and fair elections. BMP leaders said they will launch nation-wide stir and file a petition in the Supreme Court against Election Commission. Addressing the media here after deliberating upon the election results for two days at the party executive council meeting, party patron and BAMCEF president Waman Meshram said election machinery has played partisan role and electronic voting machines (EVMs) were manipulated on mass level at many places. We have documentary evidence to show that the election machinery did not carry its duties in unpartisan manner and EVMs found faulty at many places, he added. Quoting Rashtriya Janta Dal leader Laloo Parsad Yadavs comments that exist polls predictions were meant to influence counting of votes, he said even BJP leaders L K Advani, Arun Shourie and Subramanian Swamy had also raised serious doubts over the EVMs after the 2009 elections and they had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Meshram said on their petition, the apex court has directed the EC to attach verification receipt with the machines but it has attached verification receipt only at 20,000 polling booths as a pilot project. Citing many examples of EVM manipulation, he said in Banaras, where Narnedra Modi was in the fray, out of total 1,532,438 votes 55 per cent polling was recorded. According to the poll percentage, the total polled votes should be around 842, 840 but after counting it showed 10, 30,685 votes. Similarly, he said Gujarat minister Patel announced before the elections that Modi will win by a margin over five lakh votes in Vadodra, and he won the election by that predicted margin as it is clear-cut case of manipulation. He also charged the Maharashtra election machinery with helping Congress candidates and obstructing BMP candidates. Citing the example of Nanded seat, where former chief Minister of the state Ashok Chavan was in the contest, he said at many booths, election officers posted the candidates list with cancelled mark on BMP candidate. Another Party leader Arun Kumar Yadav said a BJP worker Shrivastav was red-handed caught with EVM in Banaras but no action was taken against by the election commission. He said EVMs can be easily manipulated as shown by TV9 channel on Wednesday. The Channel showed a demonstration by an RTI activist that EVMs are not foolproof from tampering. He said the party is getting complaints from many part of the country that election machinery overlooked or supported BJP candidates in the elections. In Madhya Pradesh, party leaders have alleged that thousands of tribal voters were deprived of their franchise right by deleting their name from the voter list and election campaign was run on the religious line by distributing grain of rice with voter slips but election has taken no action against the ruling party. Meshram said the party has decided that it will file a PIL against these malpractices and EVMs List of Muslim MPs elected for 2014 Lok Sabha BJP activists resort to vandalism, attack two Masjids amidst celebrations Bollywood Actress Mamta Kulkarni embraces Islam?
