Folks,
Happy Independence Day, Folks!
Our freedom fighters struggled
and sacrifice for the freedom of
our nation we enjoyed today!
India prospers today because of
their laudable sacrifice! They are
worth remembering today! Cele-
brate!
Folks, Are we really free then? I
suspects if we are still slaves to
something else todaydrugs,
racism, caste-system, rape and
molestation, anti-social activities,
corruptions, poverty and crimes
etc. Arent these so rampant in
our free India? Each day, they are
the news headlines. As such, we
can question freedom all the day-
long, Cant we? We dont seems
to be free after all.
Lets get it more straightAre
you free? Free from the bondage
of sins that results what we all
seems free and yet slaves! We
are all sinners (Rom.3:10-18)
and fall short of the glory of God
(Rom.3:23). The only freedom
we have is in a Man, nailed to a
Cross-who bored all our sins,
rose again and freed us all
(Rom.3:24-26).
Until a soul is in slaves to sin,
folks, even if a soul is under
slaves of sins, I am afraid if we
can really define freedom and
make justice to any of our defini-
tions. Who doesnt want to be
free, just that sometimes we are
ignorant of our slavery, being
slaves!
So, we need to remind our peo-
ple to be free, and tell them that
true freedom is in Jesus, and
Him alone (Rom. 10:13).Unless
You and I tell our people about
Jesus and set them free in Jesus
name, how will they be free?
It is my joy to share the news that
the Bru Christian Connects
Newsletter Family begins to
grow beyond our expectation and
estimation.
This dream of connecting our
youths and fellowships in differ-
ent cities has been a dream to
some of us, since 2010. God
made a way for us this year in
new ways to connect through this
newsletter, and I personally be-
lieved that this has been blessing
to our readers already. Now we
are just two months and God has
help this family to grow even
more.
This month onwards, the Bru Stu-
dents Christian Fellowship)
(Silchar, Assam), Bru Christian
Fellowship (Aizawl, Mizoram)
and Bru-Uchoi Christian Fellow-
ship (Agartala, Tripura) have
joined the family of Bru Christian
Connects, and they shall receive
the newsletters with effect form
this very month!
This is what this newsletter was
intended forto connect the Bru
youths in different cities so that
we stay connected and be in-
formed about each other. Moreo-
ver, through this now, we can
share the fellowships, pray and
encourage each other, teaching
and disciple each one to grow in
the Lord, to be a better man and
woman of God, to bring a change
to our society and tribe as a whole.
Our deeper agenda is also the fact
that we, the young people are the
future of our society and tribe, and
unless we grow in the fear of the
Lord and concerns for our people,
when we will in the good posi-
tions, we may not be able to ex-
tend our help and be aware of our
spirituality. So Let us stay con-
nected and grow together in the
Lord and be the change in our
society and tribe. Praise God!

the Son of Man did not come to
serve but to serve. The truest
kind of leadership then demands
service, sacrifice and selfless-
ness.
For us Christians, to be a lead-
er is to be accountable to God,
and that is the very reason why
Jesus portrayed leaders as serv-
ants. Many humble, meek, ten-
derhearted, servant minded peo-
ple are not always leaders.
Leadership is a call. Are you
called to lead? Here are some
quick guidance we must learn
then
Leadership is serving others,
and to serve others we must
have influence on others with
our character that motivates
others to follow. Can someone
be a leader without followers?
What makes a leader?
Fame, power, self promoting,
educational qualifications,
older age or status? We do
need them, yet nothing of
those qualifies us for a lead-
ership. Dont we see many
educated, famous and good-
age people fails? In our age,
for many our us, the great
musicians, celebrity, famous
individuals, sportsmen are
our ideal models? Isnt that
truebut are they not failing
up to a leadership role with
failing exemplary characters?
Jesus says in Matthew
20:26-28, Who wants to
become great among you
must be servant. And whoev-
er desires to be first among
you, let him be slave, just as
To be a leader, one must seek to
motivate others from the inside
by appealing to their hearts, and
not by external pressure or coer-
cion. So, one must first influence
by the characterthat seeks puri-
ty and holiness, blameless before
God and His people, taking the
initiative, and be devoted to peo-
ple, placing them before our-
selves.
Can we have that attitudes to be
leaders of our people, as Jesus
taught us today? Let us remember
that Jesus should be our role
model and He did not come to be
serve but to serve. Let us learn
serve as we learn to lead, and be a
good influence with out character
and desire to serve others, and
then we can together make a
change in ourselves and for our
people.

RECORDING PROJECT IN AGARTALA THIS MONTH.

Bru Christian Students Fellowship, Silchar will be working out on their first music album. Pray for their recording project at
Agartala this month.
Pray for all the leaders of Bru Christian Fellowships (Agartala, Aizawl, Bangalore, Shillong & Silchar) so that they may be able
to guide these fellowships in divine perspectives and that we may all learn to serve Gods church.
Pray for all the Bru students in different parts of India and beyond, that God will give them visions and dreams in their
hearts to bring change in our society.
Pray for the Bru Refugees in Tripura, that God will restore them in His own ways. Also remember our politicians, NGOs
leaders, Church leaders, and Christian Associations that we may see the need of an hour in our own perspectives, and God
to enables each of us all to see and focus to develop and unify our tribe as a whole.
Bru Christian Fellowships, Shillong celebrates the 10
th
anniversary. Let us praise God and give Him thanks for all He has
done all through these years, and that God will bring people, many of them to Christ as we serve and worship the true Liv-
ing God through this fellowship.
Pray for the Bru theologians in different parts of India. Pray that God will use them as they surrender their lives and pursue
their studies to do Gods work among our people.
Let us also remember the late Rev. Ramani Reang (Yapri Association, Tripura) who went to be Lord last month. He was
one of the first pastors among our tribe, who selflessly contributed his life for our people. So let us praise God for his life,
and remember his family members, that God will comfort and meet all their needs as He continually use this family for His
glory.
Please remember the Bru Gospel band, Judahbethel as they are looking for God to open up ways for the Winter tour, so
that through this band, people will come to know the Lord Jesus, the True and Living God. Pray also for all the band mem-
bers that God will continually shape and use them in their personal walk with God, obedience to the call of God, and grow-
ing more in serving attitudes for the glory of God.
Pray also the Christian Bru singers and musicians that they may continue to sing and make music for God, and through their
talents, songs and music, people will come to know the Lord. Pray that more musicians and singers will emerge and voice-
out for God!
