Brainy-USB
This low-cost 8pin multi-purpose microcontroller in kit or
(assembled and tested), when assembled by soldering, makes a
versatile control board that can be programmed via a computer
using the latest Flowol
3 software. It has three outputs, one of

which can control a DC motor while the other two can operate
LEDs. You can test and debug your program directly when the
Brainy-USB board is connected via a suitable USB download
cable. When the user has downloaded the program the USB
cable is removed for remote autonomous use.
Brainy-USB is designed to easily integrate with working
models, such as a fairground ride made from Kre8
, using the
corner holes to fix in place. Users connect to the input or output
connections by soldering wires. *Alternatively screw connectors
can be soldered in place.
Live debug in real time (sometimes called in circuit emulation
or ICE for short)! The Flowol 3 software makes easy testing
and set up with its powerful facility to program as normal AND
also the ability to directly control the Brainy-USB in real time
while testing. Responding to PCB input feedback via the USB
cable before the program is finally downloaded for autonomous
use and the USB cable is removed. The Brainy-USB then works
independent of the computer and can be taken home as a
working project.
Assemble the microcontroller (or get it already assembled
and tested), program it and then use it to control your model.
Each kit includes: Brainy-USB PCB, chip holder, 3.5mm socket for
USB cable, resistors, capacitors, diodes, 6V battery holder and
additional information.
Teachers can also supply screws or removable connectors (so
the inputs and outputs can be changed without soldering),
LEDs, 3- 6V electric motors, switches and soldering equipment.

Kit (below), Flowol 3

Red Robot
An easy to make, and easy to customize, robot that can be used
with the Brainy-Motor. The average middle school student, with
teacher support, will be able to make it - some soldering is needed
to connect the sensors, motors etc. It has large wheels driven by
two geared-down motors allowing it to work on carpet. Also
comes with micro-switches, 2 LEDs and a buzzer. Optional Kre8

Assemble and solder your own Brainy-Motor Board (or get pre-
assembled, soldered and tested) and program it to control a
motorized model or robot, Designed for students by teachers
and educators This educational 14pin micro-controller kit is an
extremely useful low cost motor controller, which when assembled
by soldering, can be used for controlling three motors and is
ideally suited for robot work. It is programmed via a PC or Mac
computer using the latest Flowol
3 software (see below).

There are four outputs, three of which can control DC motors

This complete system for conducting all-out robotic arm
combat is an economical, one time expense for your school
because you can use it with all robotic classes. The challenge
is to design a robotic arm with an electromagnet head that
picks up balls with metal screws through them. The first team
to move six balls from the central container and put them in
their teams ball return container is the winner. Robotic arm
construction and team work throughout construction and

This robotic interface takes the place of
manual hand control switches. We also
include RoboTech
Software which can be

used for real-time robot control or you can
enter a sequence of robot commands that
can be stored and executed.
The software has functions to control
each of the four axes. The fourth axis can
be programmed for a motor, pump or
electro-magnet. There are commands to
move each axis forward or reverse, turn
an electromagnetic gripper on/off and
