Cottrell Park’s Clubhouse, is built in the style of a prestigious Parkland Estate and provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere in
which to relax, after a hard days’ work or play! The Clubhouse has a rustic but cosy feel to it with exposed wooden beams and
flagstones, it offers the ideal venue for family and business meals alike. Merrick's Bar is named after Rice Merrick a 16th Century
genealogist and antiquarian.
Our dinning room, Tyler's Cabin, is named after Admiral Sir Charles Tyler, who resided at Cottrell during the 19th Century, at
Trafalgar he served under the command of his friend, Horatio Nelson, where he captained HMS Tonnant.
The Tyler's Conservatory is most popular for smaller Conferences and Meetings as it provides a comfortable environment with
excellent views over the Button Gwinnett Course. This room can be set up in various styles and can seat up to 60 delegates in Theatre
Style. It also boasts all the latest Equipment including a Laptop Projector mounted on the ceiling, Automatic Screen and Music System.
The Course
The Button Gwinnett course is named after the Button family who resided at Cottrell Park during the 17th Century. Button Gwinnett,
was one of the fifty-six men who assembled at Philadelphia in 1776 to sign the American Declaration of Independence, thus
becoming one of Americas immortals, whilst one of his forefathers, Admiral Sir Thomas Button, charted the American north west
coast, where he named New Wales, Hopes Checked, Port Nelson, and Button Island. The course offers breathtaking views sweeping
northwards as far as the Brecon Beacons and southwards over the Bristol Channel to the Mendips.
