The Academy of Homeland Security and Military Science integrates government, academia, and private sector
training/educational initiatives to help students understand how the United States and its interests worldwide are protected
against threats to public safety, both natural and manmade, through effective communication, preparedness, detection,
prevention, response and recovery. The Military Science program of study instills in students in secondary educational
institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, and personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.
