Enterprise Structure:

1. Define Company
The Company code is an organizational unit used in Sales and Distribution.
IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Accounting-> Define Company

2. Define Credit Control Area
Company is created by FI Consultant.
The credit control area is an organizational unit that specifies and checks a credit limit for customers. A
credit control area can include one or more company codes. It is not possible to assign a company code to
more than one control area. Within a credit control area, the credit limits must be specified in the same
currency.

3. Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company Code
Company is created by FI Consultant.
The company code is an organizational unit used in accounting. It is used to structure the business
organization from a financial accounting perspective.

4. Maintaining Sales Organization
Sales Organization is an organizational unit responsible for the sale of certain products or services.

5. Assigning Sales Organization to Company Code
This assignment ensures all the sales made through this Sales Organization are accounted for in the
assigned Company Code (Company Code is created by FI Consultant).

6. Maintaining Distribution Channel
Distribution Channel is the way, in which Products or Services reach Customers.

7. Assigning Distribution Channel to Sales Organization
This assignment ensures, a Sales Organization can supply Materials to Customers through this Distribution
Channel.

8. Maintaining Division
Division is a way of grouping materials, products, or services.

organization

10. Setting up Sales Area
All the sales are made from a particular sales Area. For creating a Sales Order Sales Area is compulsory.

11. Maintain Sales Office
You define the sales offices in your company. The definition of sales offices is optional.
For each sales office, you can determine the printer for output based on the sales documents in different
ways

12. Assign sales office to sales area

13. Maintain sales Group
Company. The definition of sales groups is optional. You can use the SD system without creating sales
groups.

14. Assign sales group to sales office
You can assign as many sales groups as desired to the sales offices. Any one sales group can belong to
several sales offices.

15. Define Shipping Points
Shipping Point is the Organizational element, which is responsible for shipping the Materials to the
Customers.

Plant is created by MM Consultant.

This assignment ensures that goods from different Plant can be dispatched from different Shipping Points.

18. Assigning Sales Organization- Distribution Channel- Plant

2. Essentials to create Customer Master Data & its essential fields?

Essentials to create Customer Master Data (XD01):

Account Group (T.code: OBD2): This is where you select whether your customer is a sold-to party,
ship-to party, bill-to or any other type of partner that may exist in your system.
Many large corporations will have a headquarter office (the sold-to party), but the shipments are delivered
separately to each distribution center that they may own (the Ship-To Party). Finally, there may be a
separate billing center in the east and west coast (bill-to party).

Customer Master Data essential fields consists three Sections:
1. General Data (Table Name: KNA1)
2. Company Code Data (Table Name: KNB1)
3. Sales Data (Table Name: KNVV)

Create Customer: General Data
Enter Customer address information:
Click on the Address tab
Name
Search Term (used to easily look up customer numbers in the sales order)
Address information
Tax Jurisdiction Code (Important! This will be used to determine taxes, and may cause accounting
issues if not filled in). If you cant see the field, you may need to click on the + sign to expand the
options.

Enter tax information:
Click on the Control Data tab
Enter the tax number in the Tax Number 1 field

Enter Payment Data:
This information is used to process automatic payments in the future.
Go to the Payment Transactions tab
Enter the Country, Bank Key, Bank Account and Account Holder

Create Customer: Company Code Data
Select Company Code data at the top

Enter the Reconciliation Account:
This account is the A/R account that gets hit one an invoice is made to the customer
In the Reconciliation Account field, enter the reconciliation account number.

Enter the terms of Payment:
Click on Payment Transactions tab
In the Term of payment field, enter the terms of payment.

Create Customer: Sales Area Data
Select Sales Area Data at the top

Under the Sales tab, enter the following:
Sales district: A geographical sales district or region.
Sales Office: Perhaps your organization wants to keep track of sales based on geographical locations.
Therefore, a Sales Office can be Canada West, and another would be Canada East.
Sales Group: This is similar to the Sales Office concept, but further broken down (i.e. a Sales Group
could be the beverages product line sales team).
Customer Group: Identifies a particular group of customers (for example, wholesale or retail) for the
purpose of pricing or generating statistics.
Currency
Price Group: A grouping of customers who share the same pricing requirements
Customer pricing procedure: Used to determine the pricing procedure for this customer (see pricing
section for more details)
Price List: You can define price list types according to the needs of your own organization. Price list types
can be grouped according to:
The kind of price list (for example, wholesale or retail)
The currency in which the price appears
The number of the price list type
You can use price list types to apply conditions during pricing or to generate statistics.
Cust. Stats Group: Ensures that sales to this customer get transferred to the sales report



Enter Shipping Information
Go to the shipping tab
Delivery Priority: You can assign delivery priority to either a particular material or to a combination of
customer and material. When you process deliveries collectively, you can use delivery priority as one of
the selection criteria. E.g. Normal item, High.

Enter your Shipping Conditions (i.e. if the customer picks up the products from our warehouses, the
shipping condition could be pickup. Another example would be delivery, where we deliver to customers).
Enter Delivery Plant
Check to Relevant of POD

Enter Billing Document Information
Enter the incoterms and terms of payment. These fields will then be defaulted on the sales order
Enter the tax classification (1 means liable for Tax, 0 means tax Exempt).

Enter Partner Functions
