My experience comprises of a combination of laboratory analyst through to applic
ation development and eventually with sales and service support.
During my tenure as Application Chemist with Chromsys I was involved with develo
pment of applications in foods, flavors and fragrances and often the results wer
e published in form as a Poster Presentation at leading conferences/exhibitions
such as Pittcon, IFT and EAS in USA and Application Notes.
The above objective created the awareness of the features and benefits of the pr
oducts that we dealt in.Also participated in conferences and exhibitions Pittcon
, IFT and EAS, providing information on the product based on scientific applicat
ion and eventually helped the company in lead generation.
Also had service training for CTC Autosamplers, Agilent GC/MS and installed at c
lients site and provided support on the same.
At SpectraLab Scientific I coordinated the entire sales process for assigned acc
ounts using telephone, email and face to face interaction with the clients in ac
cordance with approved sales and marketing plans. Developed relationships with c
ustomers through direct person to person interaction and through these engagemen
ts and asking open ended and high gain questions to determine needs, provide sol
utions through the use of our products and creating a value proposition and clos
ing the deal.
My strength is in my good ability in understanding the customers requirements an
d truly enjoy helping clients to solve challenges and retaining them as happy lo
ng term customers.Systematic and discipline approach.
What would be your greatest challenges?
I would like to think that probably finding a decision - makers within the compa
ny. Because lot of times
Weakness - Not so organized one:
When i first started working as a technical sales rep, i found that i wasnt as n
aturally organized as I wanted to be. without a system to keep track of everythi
ng, i had trouble keeping everything optimum. And to overcome this I have starte
d making lists of all tasks and check them every morning and atleast one more ti
me during the day to ensure that nothing is slipping all priorities are taken ca
re of.
How do you see yourself in next five years.
I am committed to working in this industry and I would hlpe that in five years t
ime I will have advanced in my career, having gained valuable experience and lea
rned new skills, I would like to think that I have potential to far. Feeling tha
t I am progressing and growing in my role is whats important to me than having a
ny specific future role in mind.
What motivates you?
Working with best minds across the industry, who continually strives in keeping
the world safer and healthier and being able to working in providing appropriate
solutions to those scientists and accordingly contributing to the community mot
ivates me.
