La estrella nada solitaria

Con 50 aos recin cumplidos, tres veces candidato al Oscar,
admirado y querido por jvenes y adultos, hombres y mujeres,
Depp estrena El Llanero solitario, donde interpreta a Toro.
Es, quizs, una de las pocas estrellas del Hollywood actual,
junto al inestable (por sus ascensos y descensos) Robert
Downey Jr., que conquista tanto al pblico femenino como al
masculino, a jvenes como a adultos.

releasing The lone ranger, featuring Toro.
Johnny Depp is probably one of the few Hollywood stars at
present, who conquers both the female as well as the male

can be said about Robert Downey Jr., perhaps more unstable,
with more ups and downs than Depp.

tual que cuenta las hazaas
del personaje del ttulo, en la ver-
sin cinematogrfica que dirige su
amigo Gore Verbinski (las primeras
pelculas de Piratas del Caribe, y
Rango, el dibujo animado gana-
dor del Oscar, cuya voz protagnica
era la de Depp), con Armie Hammer
(La red social, J. Edgar) como el
Llanero.

John Christopher Depp II, nacido en
Kentucky y criado en Florida desde
los 7 aos, es de los pocos actores
capaces de camuflarse en sus pape-
les. Puede decir que sus favoritos son
los que interpret en El joven manos
de tijera, de su amigo Tim Burton, y
Jack Sparrow, de la saga de Piratas
del Caribe. Pero, lo cierto es que re-
sulta muy fcil consustanciarse con
sus personajes, apoyarse en el res-
paldo de la butaca del cine y disfrutar
de sus creaciones.

En sus encuentros con la prensa es un
hombre de hablar pausado, tranquilo,
nada atolondrado, y amable. Viste de
manera llamativa y tiene muchos ta-
tuajes, por lo que deben borrrselos
digitalmente en las pelculas.
A creation of George W. Trendle, Depp
is the spiritual warrior who retells
the feats of the character in the title.
The film is directed by his friend Gore
Verbinski (who also directed the first
films of Pirates of the Caribbean,
and Rango, winner of the Academy
Award for Best Animated Feature, in
which Depp was one of the leading
voices). Armie Hammer (also in the
Social Network, and in J. Edgar)
plays the role of Ranger.

John Christopher Depp II, born in
Kentucky and raised in Florida from
age 7, is one of the few actors capable
of camouflaging behind his roles. He
chooses Edward Scissorhands as
his favorite, which he did with his
friends Tim Burton and Jack Sparrow,
part of the saga the Pirates of the
Caribbean.
It is true that as a spectator one
can easily empathize with all his
characters, sit back and enjoy his
performances.

With the press, he adopts a quiet,
relaxed style, not at all flighty, indeed,
he is very friendly. He dresses in a
flashy way and has many tattoos,
which have to be erased digitally in
his films.

Su primera mujer, Lori Anne Allison
(se cas la Nochebuena de 1983, y se
divorci en 1986) fue quien en un viaje
a Los ngeles, California, le present
a Nicolas Cage, el sobrino de Francis
Ford Coppola, quien le consigui su
primer trabajo como actor. Depp de-
butara en el cine en Pesadilla en lo
profundo de la noche (1984), donde
fue una de las primeras vctimas que
sucumba ante Freddy Krueger.

Tena entonces 21 aos. Haca seis
que sus padres se haban divorciado, y
John tena claro lo que quera para su
futuro. Precisamente a los 15 abando-
n la escuela, y soaba con tener su
banda de rock. Y de hecho la tuvo, ya
que con The Kids, la banda de Punk
y New Wave en la que era guitarris-
ta, lleg a ser telonero de Iggy Pop y
Duran Duran.

Pero ya volcado a la actuacin, y luego
de pasar por producciones destinadas
bsicamente para el pblico juvenil,
Depp consigui con Tim Burton una
escalera al cielo. Sus papeles fueron
oscuros, silenciosos, queribles e im-
predecibles. La amistad con Burton va
ms all de los sets del cine, ya que
Depp es padrino de uno de los hijos de

His first wife, Lori Anne Allison (whom
he married on Christmas eve in 1983,
and divorced in 1986) introduced
him to Nicolas Cage on a trip to L.A.
The latter, a nephew of Francis Ford
Coppola, got Depp his first job as
an actor, who made his debut in A
nightmare on Elm Street (1984) (in
the film, he is one of the first victims
succumbing to Freddy Krueger).

He was 21 years old back then. When
his parents divorced when he was 15,
John already knew only too very well
what he wanted to do in his future
life. At that age, he dropped out of

is Billy Ray Burtons -- one of Depps
sons -- godfather.

Among his extravagant deeds: he purchased Bela
Lugosis house after he played the leading role in
Ed Wood (1994). In the film, he directed Lugosi,
played by Martin Landau. Another curious fact
is that in spite of performing in Charlie and the
chocolate factory (2005), as a child, Johnny was
allergic to chocolate.

The brothers Wachowski wanted him to interpret
Neo, in Matrix (1999), but Warner Bros. did not
think he would carry enough weight at the box
offices and chose Keanu Reeves instead. Another
irony? Depp had rejected the role of Jack in
Speed (1994), the film that launched Reeves to
fame.
Depp had been screened to play the role of
Florentino Ariza, the main actor in El amor en
los tiempos del clera, the film adaptation of the
Gabriel Garca Mrquez novel, but, the director
Mike Newell refused to work with an accomplished
star. In the end, Javier Bardem was chosen.
Quentin Tarantino was considering Johnny to play
in Pulp Fiction, but Kill Bills director finally
decided to have Tim Roth.

perteneci a Bela Lugosi, luego de interpretar
el rol protagnico en Ed Wood (1994), don-
de su personaje diriga a Lugosi (Martin Landau). Y
entre las curiosidades de su carrera, cabe citar que,
pese a protagonizar Charlie y la fbrica de chocola-
te (2005), de chico, Johnny era alrgico al chocolate.

Los hermanos Wachowski lo queran para interpretar
a Neo, en Matrix, pero los estudios Warner Bros.
no creyeron que tuviera peso de taquilla, y eligieron
a Keanu Reeves. Fue como una devolucin de favo-
res, ya que Depp haba rechazado el rol de Jack en
Mxima velocidad, la pelcula que catapult a la
fama a Reeves.

Depp tambin era el elegido para ser Florentino
Ariza, el protagonista de El amor en los tiempos
del clera, en la adaptacin del libro de Gabriel
Garca Mrquez, pero el director Mike Newell se
rehus a trabajar con una estrella. Y qued Javier
Bardem. Johnny tambin fue considerado por Quentin
Tarantino para trabajar en Tiempos violentos, pero
el director de Kill Bill prefiri finalmente optar por

Kusturica - que comparte con Diego
Armando Maradona-, tambin supo
cosechar una gran amistad con Marlon
Brando. Con el actor de El Padrino tra-
baj en Don Juan DeMarco, y tambin
comparti el elenco de The Brave, que
el propio Depp dirigi en 1997.
Pero tambin los escndalos rodearon la
vida de nuestro personaje. Por un lado, fue
arrestado por pelearse con paparazzi, en
Inglaterra, y tuvo sus cadas con narcticos.
Y en Nueva York lo arrestaron luego de des-
trozar un cuarto de hotel. Su defensa fue
que un armadillo estaba oculto en la habita-
cin, y que fue el responsable del desastre
Y, como propietario del club nocturno
Viper Room, sobre West Hollywood, en
Los ngeles, lo cerr durante dos sema-
nas despus de que el actor River Phoenix
cayera muerto all, por una sobredosis, en
1993. Lo cerr cada 31 de octubre, la fecha
de la muerte del actor de Cuenta conmi-
go, hasta 2004, cuando vendi su parte del club.
Entre sus parejas se cuentan a Sherilyn Fenn, Kate
Moss, Jennifer Grey y Winona Ryder. Y con la actriz,
modelo y cantante francesa Vanessa Paradis, nueve
aos ms joven, con quien tuvo dos hijos. Y para po-
der comunicarse mejor con ella, aprendi francs.
Estuvieron juntos durante doce aos, hasta hace

singer Vanessa Paradis, nine years younger than
himself, he had two children. He even learnt French
to communicate better with her. After 11 years to-

En la hermosa y riberea La Paz, sobre sus impactantes barrancas, encontramos la primera
de las fuentes termales sobre las costas del Paran, con sus particulares caractersticas.
Sobre el ro Uruguay se vislumbran las primeras termas
de la provincia. La pionera Federacin, al igual que
Chajar, ofrecen sus bellsimas instalaciones en la ri-
bera del lago de Salto Grande, el espejo de agua formado
por la represa binacional. Precisamente, pero aguas aba-
jo del gigantesco complejo hidroelctrico, la ciudad de
Concordia fortalece la propuesta de aguas calientes con
otros tres establecimientos. Hacia el sur, Villa Elisa, San
Jos y Coln, adems de conformar una pujante micro-
regin, complementan el ofrecimiento desde el corazn
turstico entrerriano por excelencia, al que se suman
Concepcin del Uruguay, Basavilbaso y Gualeguaych,
completando la propuesta sobre el este provincial, que
tiene a la Autova Mesopotmica como nexo conductor,
permitiendo un traslado tan rpido como seguro, des-
de Buenos Aires y hasta el lmite con la provincia de
Corrientes.
The first hot springs of the Province of Entre Rios are
on the Uruguay River. Federacin, the pioneer and
Chajar, more recent, boast of excellent premises on
the shores of the lake of Salto Grande, the reservoir
formed by the bi-national dam. Further south of the gi-
gantic hydroelectric complex, the city of Concordia has
three other hot spring resorts: Villa Elisa, San Jose and
Colon. It is a thriving micro-region, right in the center of
the tourist area in Entre Rios. To the eastern part of the
Province, are: Concepcion del Uruguay, Basavilbaso and
Gualeguaychu. These have a binding road: the Autova
Mesopotmica, which ensures a safe and fast trip from
Buenos Aires to the borders of the Province of Corrientes.
On the lovely, coastal city of La Paz, on its impressive gul-
lies, we come across the first hot springs on the Parana
River, with some very peculiar characteristics.
La localidad, fundada en 1835, ofrece un complejo bien
diferente con sus aguas saladas, al igual que el del com-
plejo ubicado en Mara Grande a 60 kms de la capital
provincial - y el parque temtico de Victoria, hacia el sur.
Las aguas saladas surgentes son de excelente y com-
probada calidad teraputica, por la presencia de factores
mineralizantes especiales como sulfatos, calcio, cloruros,
magnesio y estroncio. Todos estos elementos coadyuvan
a una accin farmacolgica. Estas aguas, con tempera-
turas de 42 en boca de pozo, ms los servicios que se
ofrecen en los tres lugares, se transforman en tentadores
lugares a tener en cuenta.
La Paz was founded in 1835, and its resort is quite
different; and its waters are salty. There is another resort
in Maria Grande 60 kms away from the capital of the
Province, and we must not forget, the theme park Victoria,
which is southwards. The salty spring waters possess
wonderful, tested, therapeutic properties for the presence
of special minerals, such as sulfates, calcium, chlorides,
magnesium, and strontium. All these elements entail
beneficial pharmacological effects. At the source, the
water springs ooze at 42C. The excellent infrastructure at
the three above mentioned places turn them into tempting
options to consider.
ENTRE ROS EL PLACER AL ALCANCE DE TODOS
LOS PARQUES NACIONALES
NATIONAL PARKS
Un captulo aparte para dos privilegiados lugares que
tiene Entre Ros donde la naturaleza derrocha toda su
contrastante belleza, los dos parques nacionales. Son
singulares por donde se los mire o recorra, ubicados
casi caprichosamente en cada costa de los dos grandes
ros, el Paran y el Uruguay. Precisamente, muy cerca
de la capital provincial, el Parque Nacional PreDelta in-
vita a caminarlo y observar la caracterstica insular de
gran parte de su superficie. Tambin se puede visitar
por agua, en embarcaciones adecuadas. Dos senderos,
enormes lagunas con el bellsimo irup y serpentean-
tes riachos conforman un rea natural que permite un
interesante acercamiento a la flora y la fauna islea.
Adems, se pueden realizar excursiones fluviales y
pernoctar en un camping agreste. Sobre el ro Uruguay
est el tradicional parque nacional El Palmar, creado
en 1966 para proteger uno de los ltimos reductos de

entre 200 y 400 aos, y supera los 20 mts de altura.
Es un sitio inigualable en el pas.
Ubicado a 54 km al norte de Coln, cerca de la localidad
de Ubajay y sobre la Autova Mesopotmica, el parque
tiene cinco senderos peatonales y cuatro vehiculares,
para conocer las bellezas del ecosistema protegido.
Arroyos, pastizales, palmares y selvas en galera son re-
fugio de lagartos, vizcachas, grandes tortugas, cientos
de aves y zorros, entre otras especies. Son imperdibles
las puestas de sol sobre el ro Uruguay, sobre un fon-
do de palmeras; tambin se pueden visitar las ruinas
jesuticas de la antigua calera de Barqun, construida en
el siglo XVIII. El rea protegida incluye un restaurante,
una proveedura y un camping con todos los servicios.
The two National Parks deserve a separate chapter
in the Province of Entre Rios, privileged places where
nature overflows with contrasting beauty. They are
absolutely ravishing, from whichever standpoint you look
at them or visit them. Almost whimsically, they are located
on either bank of the two great rivers, the Parana and
the Uruguay. Precisely, the Parque Nacional PreDelta,
very near the capital, beckons us to stroll and observe its
insular features for most part of its surface. It can also be
visited in appropriate boats along the streams. There are
two walking paths, huge lagoons with the extraordinary
irup (giant or royal water lily) and meandering rivulets
in a natural environment that motivates visitors to learn
more about the insular fauna and flora. And there is
always the possibility of doing an excursion on the water
or opt for an overnight stay in a rough camping site. On
the Uruguay River, there is another popular National
Park, El Palmar, which opened in 1966, to protect one
of the last strongholds of the Yatay palm trees. The
species lives between 200 and 400 years, and grows
over 20mts. high. Definitely, this is an unequalled area
in Argentina. It is located 54km north of Colon, near the
town of Ubajay, on the Autova Mesopotmica. To get
to know the beauties of this ecosystem, the park has five
paths for pedestrians and four for vehicles. Streams,
grassland, palm groves, and rainforest in galleries shelter
lizards, rodents (Lagostomus), gigantic turtles, hundreds
of species of birds, and foxes, amongst others. The
backdrop of the palm groves against the sunsets on the
Uruguay River is another must see. You can also pay
a visit to the Jesuit ruins of the former limestone quarry
Barquin, built in the 18th century. The protected area
has a restaurant, a food shop and a camping site with all
the necessary facilities.

por nuestros abuelos y bisabuelos inmigrantes, y los Misterios de San Carlos, el viejo castillo construido en Concordia
por un conde francs, y donde vivi el escritor Antoine de Saint Exupry.
Entre Rios welcomes you, and it is only a few hours drive from Buenos Aires, along the Autova Mesopotmica. Three
magic destinations lie ahead; they combine history, work, myths and legends: a. An old castle: the Palacio San Jose,
Urquizas residence, very near Concepcin del Uruguay; b. the Windmill Forclaz, erected, in the vicinity of Colon, by
immigrant forefathers, c. and the Mysteries of San Carlos, the old castle built, in Concordia, by a French count, and
where the writer Antoine de Saint Exupry lived for some time.
Comenzamos nuestro viaje por el Palacio San Jos, la
residencia del primer presidente constitucional del pas.
Su magnificencia y el estado de conservacin llevaron
a que sea declarado Museo Nacional. Urquiza lo haba
bautizado Posta San Jos, pero debido a la exquisitez de
su construccin, pronto los vecinos del lugar y los visi-
tantes comenzaron a llamarlo Palacio San Jos. Para
darnos una idea de la grandiosidad de la estructura te-
nemos que hablar de la planta principal, que tiene 38
habitaciones de gran tamao, dispuestas alrededor de
dos hermosos patios. Tiene, adems, dependencias de
servicio, una capilla, cocheras, una pulpera (almacn de
ramos generales), un enorme palomar y hasta un lago
artificial donde navegaban veleros ligeros y a la vera del
cual se realizaban suntuosas fiestas. Su frente, enmar-
cado por dos torres simtricas ubicadas en las esquinas,
est adornado con un friso con motivos clsicos y un ba-
randal en cuyo centro est el escudo provincial.
LA CASA DEL GENERAL
We start our sightseeing tour at the Palacio San Jose, the residence of the first constitutionally appointed President
of the country. It has been declared National Museum for its magnificence and its good state of preservation.
Urquiza had baptized it Posta (relay or staging post) San Jos; yet, due to its exquisite construction details, soon
enough neighbors and visitors started calling it Palacio San Jose). Just to get an idea of the sheer size of it: the main
floor has 38 huge rooms, built around two beautiful courtyards. Besides, there are servants quarters, a chapel, coach
houses, a convenience storage room, an enormous pigeonhole and even an artificial lake for light sail ships; on its
edge, sumptuous parties used to be held. Its faade, framed by two symmetrical towers on the corners, is decorated
by a frieze with classic motives and in the center, between balcony crossbars, the provincial emblem is set.

del esfuerzo y tesn de los primeros colonos. Est ubi-
cado a 4 km. aproximadamente de la ciudad de San Jos,
a 200 metros del antiguo camino que une Coln con San
Jos, en un punto equidistante entre ambas localidades.
Destinado a moler granos de trigo y maz. Como era de
estilo holands, necesitaba de vientos muy fuertes, pero
como stos no eran muy frecuentes en la zona, nunca
lleg a funcionar plenamente. Este molino junto a una
antigua vivienda, los galpones para depsito de herra-
mientas de labranza, el molino de malacate, el aljibe,
conforman un conjunto arquitectnico representativo de
lo que eran las chacras de inmigrantes de la Colonia.

caciones de invierno, las mismas son teatralizadas. All
se cuenta la historia con el gua vestido de poca, y con-
juntamente se ve a la familia de inmigrantes vestidos a
la usanza, realizando las tareas diarias y compartiendo
ancdotas de la Colonia. Todos los que presencian estas
visitas son testigos de un momento mgico como emoti-
vo, que logra unir pasado y presente en una experiencia
absolutamente recomendable.
MOLINO FORCLAZ
FORCLAZ WINDMILL
This exotic windmill was built between 1888 and 1890
by Juan Bautista Forclaz. It stands as a symbol of the
effort and perseverance of the first settlers. It is located
at about 4 km. from the city of San Jos, at 200 mts from
the old route that links Colon and San Jos, in between
the two cities. It was meant for grinding wheat and corn,
although never put to full use because winds in the area
were scarce; the reason being that it was a Dutch model
which required strong winds instead. The windmill,
an old dwelling, the farm work tool shed, a winch mill,
and the well make up a representative architectural
ensemble of what immigrants farms used to be like in
the Colonia. Many visitors come to the Windmill Forclaz.
They join guided tours, which in summer, long week-ends
and winter holidays, are conducted by guides in period
costumes. You can also see a family of immigrants,
dressed in their typical clothes, going about their daily
tasks and sharing anecdotes about Colonial times. You
can thus witness a magical, touching moment, which
links the past to the present in an interesting experience.
El interior del Palacio estaba decorado con buen gusto
y elegancia, con cuadros y murales como los del artis-
ta uruguayo Blanes, quien pint una serie de batallas
en las que participara el general. En sus jardines hay
bustos de hombres clebres como Napolen, Hernn
Corts, Alejandro Magno y Julio Csar, y esculturas
del entrerriano Len Sola, quien realizara estudios en
Italia, solventados por el general Urquiza.
The interior of the Palace was decorated in good taste and
elegance, with paintings and murals. There are a series of
paintings done by the Uruguayan artist Juan Manuel Blanes,
depicting the battles in which General Urquiza had taken part.
In the gardens, there are busts of famous personalities, such
Napoleon, Hernan Cortes, Alexander the Great and Julius
Cesar. Some sculptures are from Leon Sola, from Entre Rios,
who studied in Italy under the patronage of General Urquiza.

UN CASTILLO RECUPERADO

A RETRIEVED CASTLE PRESERVES ITS ESSENCE
La fascinante historia cuenta que en el ao 1886, lle-
ga a la Villa de la Concordia un noble francs, el Conde
Eduardo De Machy, quien busca un paraje al que llam
San Carlos y en el que en el ao 1888 hizo construir el
Palacio. Aos ms tarde, luego de viajar a Francia con su
mujer, el noble y su familia desaparecen sin dejar ras-
tros, fomentando la misteriosa leyenda. Ya en el siglo XX,
la monumental vivienda es adquirida por una familia de
Concordia, los Fuchs Valn. De esa poca se recuerda la
presencia del escritor Antoine de Saint Exupry, el autor
de El Principito, quien trabajaba para el correo areo
en Amrica del Sur. Aseguran que la inspiracin para
escribir el libro surgi precisamente en las barrancas del
Uruguay. En septiembre de 1938 el edificio fue incendiado
y se convirti en lo que es hoy, Las Ruinas del Castillo de
San Carlos. Junto al Molino Forclaz y el Palacio San Jos
se integra al recorrido histrico que Entre Ros ofrece al
turismo.
The fascinating story goes that count Edward De Machy, a
French nobleman, arrived in 1886, in Villa de la Concordia,
looking for a place called San Carlos. In the year 1888, he
had the Palace built. Years later, after a trip to France with
his wife, the nobleman and his family disappear, without
leaving any traces behind, except the mysterious legend
around them. In the 20th century, the monumental home
is purchased by a family from Concordia, the Fuchs Valon.
It is around this time that people remember the presence
of the writer Antoine de Saint Exupry, the author of the
Little Prince. Saint Exupry used to work for the postal
airplanes to South America and some people even say that
he found inspiration to write this book near the gullies
of the Uruguay River. In September, 1938, the building
burnt down and became what it is today: the Ruins of the
Castillo de San Carlos.
The Palacio San Carlos, the Windmill Forclaz and the
Palace San Jose are three jewels that Entre Rios offers
its visitors as part of the historic circuit.

cano, Jimmy ngel, hasta un rincn remoto de
Venezuela donde saba que haba una enorme
cascada. El que se llev la fama fue Jimmy ya
que esta cada de agua, la ms alta del mundo,
como el Salto ngel, lleva su nombre. La cascada
es tan alta (979 mts) que gran parte del agua se
evapora o se desplaza por el viento en forma de
bruma. Solo para hacernos una idea: el Empire
State Building de Nueva York mide 443mts., me-
nos de la mitad del Salto ngel.

tablecimiento, fundado en 1885, est lleno de
tiendas de cosas viejas y puestos de objetos

open air markets, in the French capital; still
the March aux Puces is the biggest and
most traditional one. Founded in 1885, it is full

el Festival de Cine de Portobello, en el mismo barrio.
El Mercado de Portobello toma el nombre de la ca-
lle en la que se encuentra: Portobello Road, de unos

y Ladbroke Grove. Adems de los coloridos puestos de
la calle principal, tambin es posible visitar tiendas y
puestos en calles perpendiculares, como Westbourne

Para llegar a Portobello Road, la mejor opcin es el
metro. Se puede llegar caminando desde las esta-
ciones de Notting Hill Gate (al sur) o desde Ladbroke

and antiques. August is the month of the Portobello
Film Festival. The Portobello Market takes the
name of the street it is on: Portobello Road, about
three kilometers long, which connects Notting Hill to
Ladbroke Grove. Besides the colorful stalls on the main
street, you can also go into all the shops and browse in
all the stalls along the perpendicular streets, such as
Westbourne Grove.
If you want to get to Portobello Road, your best choice is
the underground. You can either walk there from Notting
Hill Gate station in the south or from Ladbroke Grove in
the north. We recommend starting out at Notting Hill Gate
and make your way towards Ladbroke Grove; in this way,
if you happen to get hungry, you can taste some food at
the stalls on the northern side of the street.

descomunal y populoso merca-
do considerado el ms famoso
de toda Roma. Tiene ms de cuatro mil
puestos de ventas, en los que se puede
encontrar todo lo que abarca la imaginacin: artculos
nuevos y usados, modernos, antiguos, tiles y hasta al-
gunos inservibles. Este lugar se despliega desde los
pies de la Porta Portese (la ms joven de las puertas
de la ciudad, realizada por mandato del Papa Urbano
VIII, y cuya construccin finaliz en 1644, su sucesor,
Inocencio X). Se extiende a lo largo de varios kilme-
tros, tambin en las calles paralelas, donde se escucha
un gritero increble, tambin acompaado de msica
y otras actividades culturales, por parte de vendedores
de distintas nacionalidades.
Porta Portese is the name of the huge,
busy market in Rome, in fact, the most
famous one. There are over 4.000 stalls,
where you can find anything to your hearts
content, any figment of your imagination:
new items, second-hand ones, modern, old, useful and
some even totally useless ones. The market goes from
the foot of Porta Portese ( the most recent one in terms
of Roman city gates, built under Pope Urban VIII, and
finished in 1644, by his successor, Innocent X). It takes up
several kilometers, and runs into parallel streets. The din
is incredible, and so is the mix of music heard. There are
also many cultural activities held by the different national
groups.

uno de los rastrillos ms antiguos de Bruselas. Es un mercado de ven-
ta de productos de segunda mano, con todo tipo de objetos. Algunos todava
son de buen uso: pequeos muebles e incluso obras artsticas de poco valor
para decoracin.

n el Flohmarkt se encuentran principalmente
ropa, zapatos, muebles, herramientas y aceta-
tos de la dcada del 50. Los domingos, la visita
obligada es al Boxhagener Platz, donde se ofertan ba-
ratijas como collares, pulseras, lmparas y telfonos
antiguos. El barrio alrededor de Boxhagener Platz
es bohemio, y perteneca a la antigua Berln orien-
tal. La pequea plaza de Boxhagener fue construida
a principios del siglo XX, entre la calle Grnberger y
la Krossener; antes se llamaba simplemente plaza
D. Hoy su nombre coloquial es Boxi, un lugar popu-
lar por el parque que se halla en su centro. Antes se
vendan frutas y verduras, ahora es simplemente un
mercadillo de segunda mano, que funciona los fines
de semana. Tambin hay algunos productos comesti-
bles, y especialidades de la regin. Lo interesante es
comer en los pequeos Imbiss en los alrededores.

collection and tell a story.
Pradas first fashion film, created by the

La legendaria firma de lujo espaola LOEWE contina con su

Cmo? Celebrando los 400 aos de intercambio cultural entre

The legendary luxury Spanish firm LOEWE is on the road towards total
renovation; completely heading in this direction. How? By celebrating
400 years of cultural exchange between Spain and Japan with the avant-
garde cooperation of designer Junya Watanabe (no less than the present
Creative Director of Comme des Garons).
Tartan, polka dot or jean remnants of textiles are combined with
materials traditionally used by Loewe and such classics as the Amazone
bag. The collection includes a selection of outstanding garments with punk details,
such as skirt made of bits and pieces of leather or a denim jacket with leather

Viene con un Android 4.1, como el de los smartphones ms recien-
tes. La versin an ms nueva es Android 4.2 y por lo tanto acepta
las apps de Play. Esto permite conectarse no ya a un par de redes
sociales predeterminadas (o al Image Gateway de Canon, por citar
otro ejemplo), sino a todas las redes sociales del momento y las que
vayan a salir en el futuro; ejecutar aplicaciones de lo ms extrava-
gantes para una cmara; Skype puede usarse para chatear y hablar
por voz sin problema, pero, para videoconferencias con una limitacin
obvia: la SGC no trae cmara frontal. Se puede ver a la persona del

Incluye en su interior y exterior diferentes ayudas para mejo-
rar las tcnicas y recopilar informacin que ayude al jugador
a mejorar sus prcticas. Para empezar, justo en el centro del
esfrico, se encuentra un sensor que recoge diferentes datos
que son recopilados, va Bluetooth, por medio de una aplicacin
por ahora solo para iOS . En ella, adems de tener todos los
datos de nuestro golpeteo del baln, podemos recibir y gestio-
nar entrenamientos personalizados para mejorar la tcnica del
disparo; por ejemplo, para hacer penales.Tambin hay un ele-
mento smart en el exterior del baln. Se trata de zonas especiales
que con ayuda de la aplicacin, nos indican cmo y dnde golpear el
baln para conseguir una determinada trayectoria, velocidad o pre-
cisin en el disparo. Adems, al acabar el disparo podemos repetir
virtualmente en la pantalla del Smartphone o tablet, el recorrido del baln
para apreciar lo que acabamos de hacer con l. Lgicamente este baln debe
cargarse, y por eso incluye una base. Por el momento, no est definido su precio.
Tanto la base como el baln saldrn al mercado lo ms probablemente coincidiendo
con el campeonato Mundial de Football, que tendr lugar en Brasil, en 2014.

Adidas miCoach Smartball comprises interior and
exterior elements to help you improve your technique
and gather information that will help any player improve
his practice. To begin with, right in the middle of the
ball, there is data-collecting sensor, which records the
info via Bluetooth; for the time being, the application
is only for iOS. Besides all the data concerning our
strikes, we can receive and administer personalized
tips to improve our shooting technique, for example,
for penalties. There is also a smart element on the
exteriorthe special areas that with the help of the
application, can indicate how and when to hit the ball
in order to obtain a certain distance, speed or precision
in the shot. Besides, when we finish striking, we can
repeat the shot virtually and reproduce it on the screen
of the Smartphone or tablet, so as to assess our
performance. A cradle is provided to recharge this ball.
For the time being, its price has not been revealed yet.
Both the cradle and the the ball will most likely appear
on the market for the World Soccer Championship

El llamado Walking Assist
Device, fabricado por Honda,
es un exoesqueleto que per-
mite ofrecer asistencia a
personas con dificultades
para caminar. Este dispo-
sitivo, que lleva 14 aos en
desarrollo, ha comenzado su
nueva etapa de validacin y pruebas en hospi-
tales en Japn. Honda ha cedido, en rgimen
de leasing (alquiler), 100 de estos exoesquele-
tos a diversos hospitales del pas asitico para
evaluar el comportamiento de estos disposi-
tivos en el mundo real. La solucin de Honda
se une as a otras propuestas de fabricantes
que tienen aplicaciones prcticas en decenas
de escenarios, no slo mdicos, sino tambin
profesionales.
EXOSKELETON. The so-called Walking Assist Device,
manufactured by Honda, is an exoskeleton that gives
assistance to people with walking difficulties. It has
already been 14 years under study, only to start now on
a new stage of validation, and tests in hospitals in Japan.
Honda has distributed 100 of these exoskeletons on leasing
terms, among many hospitals in said Asian country, to
assess the performance of these devices in the real world.
Thus, Hondas solution joins other firms that also have
manufactured practical applications in dozens of other
frameworks, not only medical, but also other professional
fields.

EL ARCA DE NO CHINA
Uno de los temores modernos, aunque tambin parte del pasado,
fueron los provocados por un presunto fin del mundo, segn el
calendario Maya. En el 2010, esta historia inspir a Yang Zongfu
a crear un arca que le permitiera a su familia y a l mismo so-
brevivir a una catstrofe natural. Teniendo en cuenta los das en
los que vivimos, hacer un arca como la que presuntamente hizo
No en su momento no pareca una buena idea. Es cierto que
protege de las lluvias, pero las historias bblicas no predecan
otras catstrofes, como las radiaciones gamma producidas por
las explosiones de bombas atmicas. Por eso, Yang decidi adop-
tar una idea ms prctica, ms bien un poco curiosa por fuera:
una esfera. Una bola de 4 metros de dimetro que, gracias a un
sistema de muelles, es capaz de sobrevivir a cadas de 50 mts.,
temperaturas de 1.700 grados Celsius, impactos de objetos que
van a 100 km/h y terremotos de una magnitud de 10 grados.
A CHINESE NOAHS ARCH One of the great fears of modern man, although it existed far back, arose due to predictions
in the Mayan calendar, announcing presumably the end of the world. In 2010, this story inspired Yang Zongfu to build
an arch that would enable his family and himself to survive a natural disaster. Taking into account the days we are
living in, to make an arch similar to Noahs did not seem like a good idea. It is true that it would protect him from the
rain, but the Biblical stories did not foresee other catastrophes, like Gamma radiations due to atomic bomb explosions.
Therefore, Yang decided to adopt a more practical idea, rather odd-looking from the outside: a sphere. Four meters
in diameter, the ball, thanks to a docking system, can withstand 50-mt drops, temperatures of 1.700 degrees Celsius,
the impact of flying objects at 100km / hour and earthquakes of a magnitude of 10.

BUQUEBUS. Este espacio abri sus puertas
el 29 de septiembre, 2011, con la muestra denomi-
nada VIAJE FELIZ, que se realiz conjuntamente
con Pato Gil Villalobos.
The ART PROMENADE AT BUQUEBUS PUERTO
MADERO TERMINAL was born under the initiative
of Mrs. Paula Barbini, a renown painter in the Rio
de la Plata. The Art Promenade was inaugurated
on September 29th, 2011, with an exhibition called
TRAVEL HAPPILY, organized jointly with Pato Gil
Villalobos.

La convocatoria es para pintores nacionales e
internacionales, con el fin de generar un in-
tercambio cultural que enriquezca el espacio
donde transita a diario un enorme caudal de
gente. Es all mismo que el pblico tiene la
oportunidad de apreciar las obras y los tra-
bajos de los artistas.
Haciendo un poco de historia, Paula Barbini,
artista permanente, ha sido acompaada por
Claudio Baldrich, Ignacio Zuloaga y en la ac-
tualidad, por Paula Rivero.
El paseo abarca tres sectores dentro de la
Terminal de Puerto Madero. Uno se encuen-
tra en el hall de Pre-migraciones, al cual
puede acceder el pblico en general; para
continuar luego a travs de la sala de pre em-
barque y la VIP, por donde pasan nicamente
los pasajeros que viajan por Buquebus.
GLOBAL ART, headed by Ms. Grace Grisola and Ms. Vernica
Quintana, works on this project, together with Mrs. Paula Barbini.
The enterprise coordinates the team selecting the works and art-
ists to be convened to the exhibitions. The call is for national and
international painters, with the aim of fostering cultural exchange
and enriching the facilities where there is an enormous daily flow
of people. It is here where the public has the opportunity of appre-
ciating the works of several artists. Paula Barbini has been the
permanent artist; though so far accompanied by Claudio Baldrich,
Ignacio Zuloaga and at present, by Paula Rivero. The promenade
extends over three sections, inside the Puerto Madero Terminal.

Naci en la ciudad de Tandil, provincia de Buenos
Aires, Argentina. En el ao 1999 y luego de mudarse a
Barcelona, decidi tomar clases de arte con la pintora
catalana Salud Alczar Casas, comenzando all a dedi-
carse en forma exclusiva a su gran pasin. Ms tarde, en
el ao 2000 y de regreso a Buenos Aires, asisti al taller
de la pintora argentina Marta De Palma, aprendiendo a
emplear un mtodo, que en los aos 60 se conoci como
Automatismo Psquico o estudio de la psicologa de las
formas. En el ao 2004. volvi a Barcelona para instalarse,
llevando consigo este mtodo, el cual aplic en el taller
del pintor mexicano Gino Rubert, en la destacada Escola
Massana de Barcelona. Ese mismo ao fue finalista en el
Jaurarena Art, con su obra El Canto de la Geisha. Ha
realizado una serie de exposiciones, principalmente en
Barcelona y Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Born in the city of Tandil, in the Province of Buenos
Aires, Argentina. In 1999, after she moved to Barcelona,
she decided to take art lessons with the Catalan painter
Salud Alczar Casas. It was then that she took up fully
and exclusively her passion: painting. Later on, in the year
2000, once she had returned to Buenos Aires, she attended
the workshop of the Argentinean painter Marta De Palma.
There, she was initiated in the school known in the 60s
as Psychic Automatism, which studies the psychology
of shapes. In 2004, she returned to Barcelona with the
intention of settling there. She took along the method she
had learnt in Buenos Aires and used it at the atelier of
the Mexican painter Gino Rubert, of the famous Escola
Massana de Barcelona.
That same year, she became finalist at the Jaurena Art
contest, with her painting The Song of the Geisha. She
has participated in several exhibitions since, mainly in
Barcelona and Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Paula Cecilia Rivero naci en Buenos
Aires, Argentina, en 1973. Desde su naci-
miento vivi en diferentes pases, donde
tuvo la oportunidad de conocer y apren-
der distintas culturas, de as cuales se

La artrosis es una enfermedad degenerativa del cartlago articular
que genera dolor y limitacin de la movilidad. En la artrosis, el
cartlago se afina progresivamente, generando dolor y prdida
de la movilidad articular. Se puede realizar un tratamiento
paliativo en los momentos iniciales de la patologa, tales como:
ingesta de antiinflamatorios, bajar de peso, usar bastn, recurrir
a procedimientos de rehabilitacin, recibir inyecciones de cido
hialurnico o un tratamiento con factores de crecimiento.
Esta novedosa tcnica es empleada con xito en nuestros
pacientes. El tratamiento consiste en la utilizacin de sangre
del propio paciente para procesarla y obtener un plasma rico
en factores de crecimiento (protenas), que se coloca en la
regin a tratar. A partir de ese momento, la zona lesionada
comienza un proceso de regeneracin celular superior que en
un proceso reparador natural o con un tratamiento convencional,
lo cual acelera los tiempos de recuperacin. Puede utilizarse en
estadios iniciales de la artrosis, en caso de necrosis y lesiones
osteocondrales de cadera y rodilla, desgarros musculares,
lesiones de ligamentos o tendones (hombro, rodilla, codo, cadera,
etc. Este procedimiento puede realizarse tanto en el quirfano
como en el mismo consultorio.
Con el avance de la enfermedad, no quedan otras opciones que
el reemplazo articular (prtesis de cadera o rodilla), sobretodo, si
la patologa genera mucha incapacidad y altera sensiblemente la
calidad de vida. El reemplazo total de cadera o rodilla es una de
las cirugas ms frecuentes, con un gran porcentaje de xito en la
especialidad. Genera un cambio notorio en el paciente en horas,
aliviando el dolor y mejorando su movilidad. La ciruga consiste en
sustituir ambas superficies articulares realizando un capuchn, si
se realiza prtesis de superficie. El objetivo primordial de la ciruga
es el alivio del dolor, lo que se refleja en una mejor calidad de
vida y mayor movilidad.Una nueva modalidad que empleamos es
la tcnica de reemplazo articular de cadera por un mini-abordaje.
El mismo consiste en realizar la misma ciruga convencional,
pero a travs de una incisin de 5-7cm de longitud en lugar de
los 20cm empleados en la tcnica convencional-- tcnica menos
agresiva, que genera menos dao a los tejidos blandos, msculos
y ligamentos que circundan la cadera. Otras ventajas de esta
tcnica: el tiempo de ciruga es de 40 minutos, se sufre de menor
dolor en el post-operatorio y la rehabilitacin es ms rpida. El
90% de los pacientes camina a las 24 horas de la operacin.
Arthrosis is a degenerative disease of the joint cartilage causing
pain and limited mobility, as a result of the progressive thinning
and deterioration of the cartilage. At more advanced stages,
not only is the cartilage completely lost and the bone structure
deformed, but also osteophytes plus subchondral cysts may
appear. In the initial stages, mitigating treatment may be used,
such as: the intake of anti-inflammatory pills, losing weight, use
of a cane, rehab procedures, injections of hyaluronic acid, or
treatment with growth factors.
This novel technique is being successfully used on patients.
Blood is taken from the patient himself and then processed
to obtain a plasma rich in growth factors (proteins), applied
to the area to be treated. Henceforth, a healing, regeneration
process the following observation may be made: the number
of cells has increased if compared to a natural healing process
or a conventional treatment, also recovery time is shortened.
This procedure may be used in the initial stages of arthrosis, in
case of osteonecrosis and hip and knee osteochondral lesions,
sprained muscles, torn ligaments or tendon lesions (shoulder,
knee, elbow, or hip). It may be performed in an operating room
or in the doctors office.
As the degenerative process advances, there may not be
any other alternative but to perform articular replacement
(prosthetic hip or knee replacement), especially if the pathology
causes great hindrance, and diminished patients life quality.
One of the most frequent surgeries is the total hip or knee
replacement, with a high percentage of successful surgeries
in the field. In few hours, the patient finds relief of pain and
improvement in his mobility.
In some cases, both articular surfaces are replaced by a cap,
when superficial prosthesis is inserted. The main objective
of surgery is always to relieve pain, allow more mobility and
ensure a better quality of life. The latest procedure used in
my consultation is hip replacement with a minimal incision.
Basically, the same technique is applied as for a conventional
surgery, but the incision is only 5-7cm long, instead of 20cm.
This turns out to be less aggressive, and less damaging to
soft tissues, muscles and ligaments around the hip. Other
advantages: surgery time is reduced to 40 minutes, with less
post-operative pain and a quicker recovery. 90% of the patients
regain mobility and walk 24h after surgery.

WAYRA EN ARGENTINA
BUQUEBUS incorpor su primer mnibus elctrico de-
sarrollado por el fabricante chino BYD. Como parte de su
plan de inversiones, adems de los micros, BUQUEBUS
est proyectando el desarrollo de tres plantas de energa
solar en Montevideo, Colonia y Punta del Este.
Estas unidades elctricas son capaces de recorrer 250
kms. con una sola carga, que se puede realizar en tan
solo tres horas. Este rendimiento se da en condiciones
urbanas, con un consumo de energa de menos de 130
kilowatts cada 100 kms. En un principio, el autobs cum-
plir recorridos tursticos para luego cubrir otras rutas
desde la capital de la Repblica Oriental del Uruguay.
Dos caractersticas habrn de facilitar el acceso sobre-
todo a personas con capacidades limitadas: su piso es
de baja altura, el ms bajo del mundo, y sus puertas
anchas. El 21 de mayo, en el puerto de Montevideo, se
present la primera unidad de la flota, en el marco del
Proyecto Huella Verde, que busca ser ms amigable
con el medio ambiente. El evento de lanzamiento fue
encabezado por el Presidente uruguayo el Sr. Jos Mujica
y cont con la presencia del Sr. Roberto Kreimerman y
Liliam Kechichian, Ministros de Industria y de Turismo
respectivamente; y el Presidente de BUQUEBUS, el Sr.
Juan Carlos Lpez Mena. Esta campaa se suma a la del
barco ecolgico que se espera para los prximos meses.
Se trata de un buque de ltima generacin que funcio-
na a gas lquido, un tipo de energa limpia y renovable.
El Sr. Lpez Mena resalt que la energa elctrica para
el transporte es una de las bases de la tercera revolu-
cin tcnico-cientfica que, sin detener el progreso, logra
minimizar o incluso suprimir perjuicios. Por su parte,
el Ministro de Industria destac la importancia para
Uruguay de dicho concepto porque acompaa lo que es el
cambio de la matriz energtica con las inversiones que se
estn realizando, como los parques elicos y la planta re-
gasificadora. De esta manera el pas va a ir dependiendo
menos del petrleo. La Sra. Ministro de Turismo, Lilin
Kechichian, manifest que la iniciativa de Buquebus se
inscribe en la lnea del plan nacional de turismo soste-
nible y la filosofa de energas limpias. Es un mensaje
interesante para el Uruguay productivo.

BQB LINKS CITIES AND COUNTRIES BY SEA & AIR
BUQUEBUS presented its first electric bus, manufactured
by the Chinese company BYD. The buses can cover 250
kms. with a single charge, which takes only about three
hours. In an urban environment, its energy consumption
is less than 130 kilowatts per 100 kms. At the beginning,
the units will be used on tourist circuits, and later, they
will reach other destinations. Two of its features will
enable easier access for handicapped people, mainly: one,
that it has the lowest floor, and the other, its wide doors.
Furthermore, as part of its investment plan, BUQUEBUS
also envisages setting up three solar energy plants: in
Montevideo, Colonia and Punta del Este. This first unit
of the fleet was presented May 21st, in the harbor of
Montevideo, in the framework of the environmentally
friendly Green Paths Project. The event was attended
by the President of Uruguay, Mr. Jos Mujica; the Minister
of Industry, Mr. Roberto Kreimerman , Mrs. Liliam
Kechichian, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and the
President of Buquebus, Mr. Juan Carlos Lpez Mena.
This campaign is also endorsed by the ecological vessel
expected to start running in the next few months. It is
a state-of-the-art ship that uses liquefied natural gas, a
renewable, clean fuel. Mr. Lpez Mena put emphasis
on the fact that electricity for a means of transport is the
foundation of the third technological-scientific revolution,
that without hindering progress, it minimizes or even
eliminates the harmful effects on the environment .
The Minister of Industry pointed out the importance to
introduce this technological concept in Uruguay, since it
goes hand in hand with the changes in the energy matrix
and the investments being made by the government, such
as the setting up of eolic parks and the regasification
plants; all with the ultimate goal of turning less oil-
dependent. The Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mrs.
Lilim Kechichian declared that the initiative taken by
Buquebus is in line with the national plan supporting
sustainable tourism and the philosophy of using clean
energy sources-- indeed it is an interesting message for
the image of productive Uruguay.

La puesta en marcha de las dos aeronaves va a consoli-
dar a la empresa y a permitir desarrollar el proyecto de
conectividad de Uruguay, en una primera etapa, con to-
dos los pases de la regin. Adems se firm un acuerdo
con IBERIA para conectar al pas con Europa, va Buenos
Aires. Los vuelos se programaron ajustando al mximo
los tiempos de conexin, y as poder reducir en la me-
dida de lo posible el tiempo de espera en el aeropuerto
de Ezeiza. Los lunes, mircoles, jueves, viernes y sba-
dos BQB saldr de Montevideo a las 19.00 hs, para llegar
al aeropuerto de Ezeiza a las 19.50 hs. All los pasaje-
ros embarcan rumbo a Madrid en el vuelo de Iberia de
las 21.35. Desde la Terminal 4 de Barajas los pasajeros
pueden continuar a otras 31 ciudades espaolas, 27 eu-
ropeas y 13 en frica y Oriente Medio. Segn la encuesta
de Skytrax, en la que participaron ms de 12 millones de
pasajeros, en cerca de 400 aeropuertos, la T4 fue elegida
como una de las mejores terminales del mundo.
Con respecto a los nuevos aviones: stos estarn ope-
rando a partir del mes de diciembre del corriente ao y
van a permitir dar el volumen necesario a la compaa en
su plan de crecimiento. Las prximas rutas que se van a
sumar desde Uruguay son Santiago de Chile, San Pablo,
Ro de Janeiro, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Curitiba, Rivera
y conexiones; as como tambin Asuncin.
The incorporation of the two aircrafts will consolidate
the enterprise on the market and enable it to develop its
project to develop connections with Uruguay, which in the
first stages will involve only regional countries. Besides,
Buquebus signed an agreement with IBERIA to establish
connections between Uruguay and Europe, via Buenos
Aires. The flight schedules have been adjusted to make

Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, BQB planes will depart
from Montevideo at 7p.m., arrive at the airport of Ezeiza at
7:50p.m. And then passengers will proceed to Madrid on
the Iberia flight at 9:35 p.m. From Terminal 4 at Barajas
airport in Madrid, passengers will be able to connect to
31 other cities in Spain, 27 other destinations in Europe
and 13 in Africa and the Middle East. According to a survey
carried out by Skytrax, in which over 12 million passengers
participated, in nearly 400 airports, the above mentioned T4
was chosen as one of the best terminals in the world. The
new airplanes will start operating as from the end of 2013;
and will enable the company to cater for a greater number
of passengers as is foreseen in its development project.
The next routes to be included from Uruguay are: Santiago

BUQUEBUS present las distintas opciones para visi-
tar la capital de la Repblica Argentina a lo largo del
ao. Por ese motivo, se realiz un evento en la ciudad
de Montevideo, junto al Ente de Turismo de la Ciudad
Autnoma de Buenos Aires.
El lugar elegido fue el saln Preludio de Rara Avis, al
costado del Teatro Sols. La delegacin fue presidida por
la Directora Ejecutiva del Ente de Turismo del Gobierno
de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Licenciada Patricia
Pcora, con el Presidente de la filial Buenos Aires de
la Asociacin de Hoteles de Turismo de la Repblica
Argentina, el Sr. Gastn Casoy. En Uruguay, los aguarda-
ba el Presidente de BUQUEBUS, el Sr. Juan Carlos Lpez
Mena, el representante de prensa de la empresa, el Sr.
lvaro Secondo y la Gerente Comercial de la misma, la
Sra. Rosario Garca.
Pasado el primer semestre del ao an queda un largo

BUQUEBUS has come out with new packages to visit
Buenos Aires from now on until the end of the year. This
gathered authorities in a special event in Montevideo,
and was organized jointly with the Ente de Turismo de la
Ciudad Autnoma de Buenos Aires.
The chosen venue was the Preludio restaurant at
Rara Avis, next to the Teatro Sols. The delegation was
headed by the Directora Ejecutiva del Ente de Turismo
del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Licenciada
Patricia Pcora, with the President of the Buenos Aires
branch of the Asociacin de Hoteles de Turismo de la
Repblica Argentina, Mr. Gastn Casoy. In Uruguay,
they were welcomed by the President of Buquebus, Mr.
Juan Carlos Lpez Mena; the press representative of the
company, Mr. lvaro Secondo and Business Manager Ms.
Rosario Garca.
After the first semester, there is still a long way to be
considered: the packages for the Winter holidays, the
International Marathon of Buenos Aires (September 15th);
the BAF Week; the Week of Gastronomy in Buenos Aires
(October 11-18); the Day of the Citys Cafs; Museum
Night (November 9th)& Gallery Nights and if this was not
enough, she mentioned the agreements made with the
main shopping malls, offering benefits and discounts. And
