Set induction (5 minutes)
1. Teacher plays a song for the pupils.
2. The pupils need to listen carefully and identify some of
the instruments used.
3. The teacher asks the pupils what are the instruments
used, have they seen or played the instruments before.

Presentation (15 minutes)
1. Teacher presents video clips of some musical
instruments which are drum, guitar, piano, violin, flute and
cello being played.
2. The pupils watch and listen to the video clips.
3. Teacher asks them to write down the names of the
instruments.
4. Teacher asks the pupils to show the actions of how the
musical instruments being played

Practice (15 minutes)
1. Teacher shows a few pictures on drum, guitar, piano,
flute and cello but the pictures are not shown completely.
2. The pictures are only shown part by part as clues for the
pupils to guess the pictures.
3. The pupils are required to guess the incomplete pictures
shown.
4. The teacher divides the pupils into 5 groups.
5. Teacher gives worksheets on match the pictures of
musical instruments with the correct descriptions.

6. The pupils are required to rewrite the descriptions and
the names of the musical instruments neatly and correctly.

Production (20 minutes)
1. Teacher provides word search sheets related to musical
instruments for the pupils.
2. Teacher reads out the description of drum, guitar, piano,
flute and cello.
3. The pupils are required to write down the descriptions of
the instruments.
4. Teacher draw lots the name of the pupils and the lucky
pupil will need to come to the front and give answers on
the board.

Closure (5 minutes)
1. Teacher asks pupils to grab anything in the classroom or
their own things that they can use to produce sounds.
2. In groups of 4, teacher gives them 2 minutes to prepare
and 3 minutes to present to the class.
3. Teacher sums up the lesson

Set induction (5 minutes)
1. Teacher distribute the class into a few groups.
2. Teacher gives the group with a picture puzzle of a
musical instrument.
3. Teacher ask the students to complete the picture puzzle
and guess the instrument.
4. Teacher ask the students to tell the class what musical
instrument they get.

Presentation (15 minutes)
1. The teacher shows pictures of situation that shows a
person play a musical instrument.
2. Then, teacher explains the name of person who play a
musical instrument.

3. The teacher uses the word cards to explain to the
students about the person who plays a musical instrument.
4. Then, the teacher elicits answers from the students by
questioning them.

Practice (15 minutes)

1. Teacher gives worksheet one to the students.
2. Teacher ask the students to fill in the blanks with correct
answer.
Worksheet 2
1. The teacher asks the students to sit in group.
2. The teacher provides the students with speech bubbles
where the students will work in pairs to fill it in with
appropriate dialogue.
3. Teacher then discusses the answers with the students

Production (25 minutes)
1. Teacher distribute worksheet three to the students.
2. Teacher ask the students to write a short paragraph
based on the picture given.
3. Teacher select a few students to read out their
paragraph in front of the class.

Closure (5 minutes)
1. Teacher highlights the salient points in the lesson.

Set induction (5 minutes)
1. Teacher will play the sound clips which contain sounds of
musical instruments.
2. Teacher asks the students about which instrument did
produce each of the sounds.


Presentation (15 minutes)
1. Teacher shows pictures of musical instruments.
2. Teacher asks questions about the musical instruments.
3. Teacher will then ask the students to write the answer
on the blackboard.
4. Students will be asked to write simple sentences on the
paper given.
5. Teacher explain the meaning of simple and compound
sentences
6. Teacher will guide students to combine simple sentences
to make compound sentences.


Practice (20 minutes)
1. Students will be divided into 4 groups.
2. Each group will be given two type of musical instrument
3. Teacher will give an instruction on how to do this task.
4. Each group need to write two simple sentences and a
compound sentence based on the name of musical
instruments.
5. Teacher asks all the groups to present their sentences.






Production (15 minutes)
1. Teacher will distribute a worksheet for each student
according to the topic.
2. Teacher checks the answers.

Closure (5 minutes)
1. Teacher will ask the students about musical instrument.
2. Teacher asks the students what they learn today
