WHEREAS,

former firehouseknown asDrill Tower No. 2 at 2228 East 15th
Street;
and
WHEREAS,
said
property
isin the
City
of
Oakland,
County
of
Alameda, Stateof
California,
and ismore
particularly
described in Exhibit A attached heretoand made a
part hereof;
and
WHEREAS,
the
facility
isno
longer
used
by
the
City
as afirehouse or needed for
any municipal purpose;
and
WHEREAS,
the
City
notifiedother
public agencies
of
its
availability
as
required by Government Code 54220 withno
interest
shown;
and
WHEREAS, the
CityPlanning
Commission has
reviewed
and
confirmed the
parcel'sR-70, High
Density Residential
Zoning;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 63020
C.M. S. authorized an
agreement
withtheSan Antonio
Community
Development
Corporation,
to
acquire
and
rehabilitatethe
building
and
manage
it asa
multi- purpose
community center; and
WHEREAS, the
City's
Real EstateDivision has
negotiated thesaleof the
surplusparcel
tothe San Antonio
Community Development Corporation for the
appraised valueof
61,500; now
therefore,
The Council of the
City
of Oakland doesordain as
follows:
SECTION1. The
proposed sale,
by negotiation, tothe
San Antonio
Community Development
Corporation, which isto
rehabilitatethe
building
and
manage
it as a
multi-purpose
community center,
isin thebest
interestsof the
City.
SECTION 2. The saleof the
surplusparcel for
61,500 totheabove
organization,
is
hereby authorized and
confirmed.
