Product description
The CMMS-ST is used to control our 2-phase
stepper motor series. This intelligent posi-
tioning controller does not need frequency
control by a PLC but has 64 parameterizable
travel commands which are triggered by a
command selection process.
Alternatively, additional travel commands can
be generated by the controller online via a
field bus in the direct mode.
The controller provides excellent positioning
quality thanks to its additional functions:
Resonant frequency suppression
Continuous reduction of step width during acceleration, auto-
smoothing.
Linear or jolt-limited acceleration.
Adjustable start/stop frequency.
Linked travel commands for complete positioning sequences.
Flying measurement thanks to high-speed input, is able to
store current position when a signal edge is encountered.
Parameterization is carried out by the FCT using the familiar easy
method. Parameter values can if desired be stored on an SD flash
memory card, which can be transferred to a replacement unit dur-
ing servicing work, making it unnecessary to carry out commis-
sioning again.
Main applications
The CMMS-ST strengthens our range of stepper motor drive pack-
ages. It, together with a suitable stepper motor, can provide an in-
expensive solution for any application in which maximum dy-
namism is not the top priority.
The stepper motor package can be used with all DGE axes and the
new DNCE piston-rod drive.
