the !lace you go when you are charged with a crime +but not have been convicted and
sentenced,, and !rison as the !lace you go if you have been convicted of a felony and the (udge
sentences you to a term of incarceration more than one year. However, you should also kee! in
mind that you can be sentenced to do (ail time in a tem!orary facility if you are convicted of a
misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor. #he following is a list of tem!orary holding facilities in

Clark Count D!t!nt"on C!nt!r
Clark County -etention Center +CC-C, houses !eo!le charged with felony and misdemeanor
crimes in Las Vegas. It is located in downtown Las Vegas at ../ $outh Casino Center 0oulevard,
behind the R!#"onal Ju$t"%! C!nt!r +the big state courthouse,. #here is also an overflow facility
for CC-C called CC-C %orth Valley Com!le" located at 12// %orth $loan Lane in %orth Las
Vegas, about a half hour drive going north on Las Vegas 0oulevard from the !rimary CC-C
location.
3eo!le housed in CC-C fre4uently include !eo!le charged with misdemeanor -5I and domestic
violence charges that allegedly occurred in the unincor!orated !arts of Las Vegas and other
outlying !arts of Clark County. 3eo!le charged with -5I and domestic violence that allegedly
occurred in the City of Las Vegas !ro!er +like the Las Vegas $tri!, will be taken to a different
facility6City of Las Vegas -etention Center. Read about that (ail below. $oliciting !rostitution
sus!ects in Las Vegas will always be taken to CC-C.
CC-C houses anyone charged with a felony criminal offense in Las Vegas. Common felony
offenses in Las Vegas include !ossession of a controlled substance, 'trick rolls,' 'bait !urse'
thefts, casino cheating, and third offense domestic violence.
CC-C also houses !eo!le who have been !icked u! on alleged !robation violations. If the
!erson you are looking for has a !robation officer with whom he is su!!osed to check in, and
now that !erson has disa!!eared, he might be in CC-C on an alleged !robation violation +which
can include !icking u! new criminal charges, failing a drug test, or failing to re!ort to the
-e!artment of 3arole and 3robation,.
CC-C only houses !eo!le arrested on state or county charges. 3eo!le who are charged with
federal crimes may be located elsewhere, including Henderson -etention Center and %evada
$outhern -etention Center in 3ahrum!, %evada. Read about these facilities in the sections

If youre having trouble finding a !erson in CC-Cs database, before you decide they are not
there and try another facility, kee! in mind the following search ti!s. &hen searching, make sure
to in!ut the !ersons last name first, and make sure to s!ell the name correctly. 7ou will get no
results if you include a wrong letter. However, if you only know a few letters of the !ersons last
name for sure, in!ut those to get a list of inmate names that start with those letters. *or instance,
if you in!ut '89,' the database will give you results for inmates with the last names '89%:$'
and '89H%$9%' +and many other names beginning '89',. #he CC-C database is not 'case
sensitive,' meaning that it doesnt matter whether you use ca!ital or lowercase letters.
;ee! in mind that a !erson may have been booked into (ail under an alias +including former or
maiden names,, and that inmates names are sometimes miss!elled by CC-Cs booking
de!artment. 9ne of the most common miss!ellings for CC-C inmates is the omission of a
hy!hen in the inmates name. $o for instance, 'R9-RI<5:=>*L9R:$' might be in CC-C
under the name 'R9-RI<5:=*L9R:$.' In a similar vein, the database doesnt use
a!ostro!hes, so a name like '90RI:%' will be in the system as '90RI:%.' $earching
'990RI:%' will yield no results.
#o review, search the CC-C inmate database if the !erson you are looking for was arrested on a
felony charge or certain misdemeanors in Las Vegas. If you have followed the above search ti!s
and still cant find the inmate youre looking for, the !erson might be in another facility. Read

arrested on a felony charge in Las Vegas, he will not be in City 8ail. However, there is one
circumstance where a !erson could be in City 8ail on a felony. Read below.
City of Las Vegas -etention Center also houses inmates charged with misdemeanor and felony
crimes in %orth Las Vegas, because there is currently no %orth Las Vegas -etention Center.
#herefore, if the !erson youre looking for was arrested in %orth Las Vegas, then the !erson is
!robably in the City of Las Vegas 8ail, whether the charge is a felony or misdemeanor.
Las Vegas City 8ail is located at ..// $tewart Dvenue in Las Vegas +$tewart Dvenue between
)o(ave Road and %orth 3ecos Road,. #he closest freeway e"it is the :astern e"it on

&hen using the City of Las Vegas inmate database, kee! in mind the search ti!s I gave in the

Henderson -etention Center
City of Henderson -etention Center houses inmates charged with felony or misdemeanor crimes
in the City of Henderson, whether those inmates will eventually be charged in Henderson 8ustice
Court or Henderson )unici!al Court.
Henderson -etention Center also houses some inmates who have been charged with federal
crimes. )ost federal inmates are housed at a different facility in 3ahrum!, %evada. #his facility
is discussed in a section below.
)ostly, the federal criminal defendants in Henderson -etention Center are those who have
immigration holds. If a !erson has been arrested by 5$ Immigration and Customs :nforcement
+'IC:', and is likely facing removal !roceedings, then the !erson is !robably in Henderson

the 5$ )arshal locku! awaiting a court a!!earance in federal court. *or more information about

#here are other tem!orary detention facilities in Clark County %evada, including )es4uite
