Project Description
The project involves the construction of a newpetrochemicals complex, which will produce
95 000 t/y of acrylic resin, 70 000 t/y of methyl methacrylate and 200 000 t/y of acrylonitrile.
The acrylonitrile facility will use the latest propane-based technology.
Value
The project will cost an estimated $780-million.
Duration
Start-up is scheduled for 2010.
Client
PTT Asahi Chemical Company, a joint venture between Asahi KaseiChemical
Corporation, Marubeni Corporation and the PTT Public Company.
