The tutors listed below teach on-campus at the London School of Business and

Robert Wood
FCCA and FCMA qualified, Robert brings over 25 years of professional and academic
experience to LSBF. Highly qualified by merit of holding a BSc, MBA and PGCE, he has
a comprehensive understanding of the business world. Robert has lectured at financial
institutions across the country, holding senior positions such as Deputy Managing
Director of ACCA and CIMA courses. Previously the Financial Director of a successful
manufacturing company, he is a management accountancy expert.

Isaac Osei-Kwame
With more than ten years of experience in teaching professional and degree
courses, Isaac has a proven track record of guiding students to academic and
career success. As an ACIB and MBA holder, he is an expert in business and
accountancy. Published by CIMA for his work on Corporate Responsibility and
Business Ethics, he has a multifaceted insight into the inner workings of the
finance industry. Isaac also has significant management expertise, allowing you to
pick up vital management and organisational skills.

David Laws
More than 10 years of lecturing experience has made David one of the key assets
to LSBFs accounting department. Having been Awarded MSc and BSc degrees
from Washington State and Hull University respectively, David has a strong
academic background coupled with an international perspective. He gained ACA
and ACCA accreditation following a career in Mathematics.

Yelda Arif
Yelda holds an ACCA accredited degree in Accounting and Finance from the
business-focused Middlesex University.
Yelda has worked for multi-partnered accountancy firms based across Central
London where she specialised in working with charities, liaising regularly with
her clients and holding responsibility for the day-to-day analysis and reporting of
important client accounts. Yelda is also bilingual, and her fresh insight into finance
is instrumental in helping students qualify for ACCA certification.

Debbie Crossman
Debbie has been teaching law for almost 30 years, along the way helping untold
numbers of students achieve the careers they aspire to. Her dedication and
enthusiasm have made her a favourite amongst law students.

Jennifer Cummins
Jennifer studied at one of the worlds most renowned business institutions, University College
Dublin. Winning a level 1 prize when qualifying for ACCA accreditation, Jennifers strong
academic reputation is rivalled only by the achievements made in her professional career.
Working for global financial giants including Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley, Jennifer is
an expert in market analysis. Regularly meeting with international and regional heads of
department, she plays a vital role in streamlining and reviewing Foreign Exchange business
operations.

Philip Brabin
Philip graduated in Economics and Politics from the University of Bath. He trained
as a Chartered Accountant with MHA MacIntyre Hudson LLP, a UK top 20 firm of
accountants, within their audit department. Philip spent a total of seven years in
practice and is a member of the ACCA.

Brigita Petrova
After graduating from the University of World and National Economy in Bulgaria
with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Control, Brigita became a member of
the ACCA while working in the accounts departments of various companies across
London. Before taking up teaching Brigita worked as the Operations Business
Partner at London City Airport. Over the years she has gained vast practical
experience in accounting which, combined with her strong academic skills, brings
any classroom to life.

The CIMA
qualification
The CIMA qualification is specially designed
for those who wish to develop a successful
and diverse career in financial and business
management. CIMA is a broadly based
qualification which develops key decision
making, management, strategic and analytical
skills. As an addition to your CV, the CIMA
qualification provides globally recognised
certification and prestige.
Exemptions
You can expect to receive exemptions if you
have a relevant degree or a relevant professional
qualification. CIMA decides if previous study is
relevant and they award some exemptions for
some papers at Certificate, Operational and
Management level. There are no exemptions
given at Strategic level.

Entry requirements
The CIMA offers various entry points on to the CIMA Qualification,
depending on age and previous academic qualifications. We
recommend that students have a good proficiency in English.
Minimum requirements
Students must be at least 18 years old
Two A Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in five separate subjects,
including English and Mathematics
Information on the minimum entrance criteria for each country is
available from the CIMA website www.cimaglobal.com
Practical experience
To become CIMA qualified, students need to satisfy the practical
experience requirements (PER). This means providing evidence of a
minimum of 3 years supervised and relevant work experience, which
must be completed within 5 years of passing their last exam.
You will benefit from the expertise of a specialist on-campus Careers
Advisor, trained to provide advice on the specific issues that you may
encounter in your job search.
Our careers team will work with you to identify work placement
opportunities, delivering the practical skills and experience essential to
become a CIMA affiliate.

Programme delivery
In order to gain CIMA certification, you will
need to take and pass 13 papers. It may take
a minimum of 2 years to complete them
all. Twice a year, you will have the option
to register for examinations, which will be
either computer or paper-based at CIMAs
worldwide centres.
CIMA allows you to sit for a maximum
of 3 papers together, but InterActive
recommends that you sit no more than 2
at the same time.
You will receive an email with your
InterActive login details 24 hours after
payment. You may begin your studies 16
weeks before you are due to take your
exams i.e. either early August or early March.
Please note revision packages are available
one month prior to your exams.
You will then be able to study towards your
paper according to the content of the
package you purchased. At the start of
your studies you will be given access to our
award-winning online study platform.
