Erehwon created for Titan a custom-tailored
format cal l ed the I nnovati on School of
Management i n or der to l eapf r og t he
organizational capacity to innovate and expand the
innovation portfolio. The specic intention was to
create an organization-wide cadre of innovation
champions with the capacity to lead an innovation
challenge from conception to realization. The
initiative - now in its 4th year - has grown in its
scale and impact with over 50% of the employees
now having an internalized capacity to innovate.
Several rst-to-the-world innovations have been
conceptualized, prototyped and launched through
the intervention.
Institutionalizing Innovation journey at
Titan Jewelry Division - co-created,
designed and facilitated by Erehwon -
has been selected as one of the 10
global winners at MIX Prize for
INNOVATING INNOVATION conducted in
partnership with Harvard Business
Review & McKinsey. The selection was
made from 140 entries from worlds
leading organizations by an eminent jury
panel comprising of worlds top thought
leaders on innovation. The Titan story
would soon be published in Harvard
Business Review

INNOVATION SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT: Having tasted the hidden strengths of employees and
partners, since only 20% of the employees were actively participating in innovation, in 2009, we
came out with an initiative called INNOVATION SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, with the view to
make all stake holders innovators by 2015.

A six month program on innovation, co-created by EREHWON, an innovation consulting company,
that has pioneered the Orbit Shifting Innovation Methodology, to build and multiply the number
of innovation champions , with the capacity to conceive and execute innovation projects, at Titan,
was designed with 3 days of class room session , on what , why and how of innovation , followed
by 4 hours / week free time to work on identied innovation projects, 2 hours of mentoring in a
week, Monthly review with SMT, ultimately leading to a diploma in innovation to the employee.

been converted as trained innovators, and manufacturing innovations contribute to around 20%

We are Unilever's rst disruptive innovation
team. When we started out on our journey,
we had a sizable task in front of us. We knew
that to produce truly game changing
innovation, we had to dig deeper and produce
disruptive insight instead of incremental
insight, and produce a way of working that
created a platform for disruptive innovation.
