I started dancing 10 years ago.

As the days, weeks goes by, doors began to open for me, and
then began to experience the beauty of dance and increasingly captivated by it. Why is
important for me to dance? Because it represents me, my roots, my family, the community to
whichIbelong.

I came from a community that experienced for the first time in history to freely exercise
different religions, which was already under eastern and western domination, but also under
democraticandCommunistideologiestoo.

The most important thing that describes our present and past societies is
multiculturalism. Due to this, the four nationalities that inhabited in my region lived together for
many centuries without major religious and ethnic conflicts. However, this doesnt mean that we
dont have a love hate relationship. Sometimes,we have experienced a rough time within our
communities, which determined our history and influence our present. For example, our struggle
againststereotypes,prejudiceisnotverypresentinmycountry.

In terms of religion, a strong faith in God characterises our community, which is proved
not only by the existence of many churches, but also by traditions that belong to all the important
stages of human life, traditions that gives God an important place. I myself grew up visiting the
church every sunday, participating in its religious classes and prayers, which were also essential

More than anything, however, dance has played an important role in rural society, as it
was present in every moment of their lives, such as in their birth, adulthood, marriage and death,
dance provided a certain place for the individual in his community. Unfortunately, traditions are
extincting more and more. This has been particularly due to the influence of populist ideologies
andcommercialtrends,andthesedonotalwaysleadtoagoodpath.

I am open minded and therefore I'm looking forward to new challenges. I consider it
important for future generations to gain insight into the world of our centuriesold culture and
regard it as their own. My objectives for long term are arousing interest towards folk dance,
breaking down stereotypes against this genre, raising public awareness of the many
