As population increases , Student Increases , Demand For High Quality education
Increases , Which Increases The need for high quality instructors, more infrastru
cture, more colleges, more funds, rising prices which ultimately leads to deprivati
on of Good Quality education to some section of society
from birth to adulthood society's purpose is critical to accelerate our learning
. Whats most important for kids today is learning how to learn . Society Must D
evelop Learner's Ready To tAckle challenges They Cannot anticipate.
over 100 years ago We invented schooling to send kids to three places factory fa
rm ,university we always lost some kids but for most it provided middle class li
ves and economic growth.over time economies changed farm jobs diminished and off
ice jobs surged.college grads always had better access but there was also a path
straight from high school.as office work changed it got harder to get there fro
m high school eventually the path closed.college became the main path of opportu
nity.we started sending more kids to college but we did't change the overall sys
tem education broke down.Trapping too many kids in paths that no longer made sen
se for them or for the country.
retail sector - low scale low wage jobs which often fail to take kids forward in
life
There eill be aa future when schools would help learner's to get what they need
to be sucessful learners and to accelerate their learning. while school remains
critical it will not be the only place for learning .when we create a single int
egrated system students willpractice becoming lifelong learners ready to go to c
ollege or good jobs ready for the challenges and opportunity that awaits them
Technology dependent:learners will need access to a machine of minimum specificati
on as dictated by the elearning supplier or access to a service with a high band
width to transfer the course materials in a timely way.
Material Incompatibility:some materials designed for one particular system will no
t function properly on another (for example, the Apple Macintosh and the Windows
PC). Standards will help in the area.
Unsuitable for Certain Types of Training:any skill that relies heavily on inter-pe
rsonal contact although these courses could be supplemented by elearning.
Unsuitable for Certain Types of Learners:elearning requires a high-level of self-d
iscipline and personal time management. eLearners need to be highly self-motivat
ed to take full advantage of the medium as often the online learning experience
can be impersonal. Working through 'packaged' programmes can be irritating.
Reliant of the Quality of the Content:it is too easy for some institutions to defe
r the photocopying costs onto the learner by placing all lecture notes and cours
e handouts online. Such practices often mean that the course materials are in an
inappropriate format for online learning. Course providers need to develop new
technical skills and course design skills to suit the new medium.
No Match for Face-to-Face Teaching:Electronic communication does not necessarily p
rovide a good match for face-to-face communication and is more linear than face-
to-face discussion.
Too Reliant on IT Skills:learners may have limited IT skills, or be uncomfortable
with electronic communication and need to learn how to use the medium effectivel
y.
