HISTORY 101 PHILIPPINE HISTORY, GOVERNMENT
AND CONSTITUTION

Objectives of the Bachelor of Secondary Education

1. To train and prepare high school and technology teachers who are effective, efficient and committed in the pursuit of quality
education through
a. The development of critical thinking and manipulative skills;
b. The conduct of research, extension and production activities;
c. The inculcation of moral values and safe work habits.
2. To develop entrepreneurs and produce industrial manpower with experiences in the democratic way of life for enlightened,
productive and environmentally responsive citizenry.

II. COURSE/TITLE : HISTORY 101 PHILIPPINE HISTORY, GOVERNMENT AND CONSTITUTION

III. RATIONALE : The Philippines is rich with cultural heritage which we can call our own. As such, we take
pride of our glorious part, hence, there is a need to study our Philippines History and Government.

IV. COURSE DISCRIPTION :
This enables our readers to learn and appreciate the geographical and social aspects of their country. It enables the
students to know about the chronological description of the nations history. It also describes the rich and unique cultural
endowment of the Philippines. It relates the relevant changes that took place in the government and in the administrative
system. It also intends to make the students know and understand their rights and privileges as citizens of the country. It
also enables the students to realize and value the sense of identity and pride in being Filipinos themselves.

VII. COURSE OBJECTIVES (GENERAL) :
It is the aim of the course to enable to have a comprehension knowledge and understanding of Philippine History and the
historical events that led to and made the conditions of today which in turn are determining the future destiny of the
country. It has for its aim for the students to realize the value of having a sense of identity and pride of being a Filipino.
VIII. COURSE REQUIREMENTS: Regular class attendance, graded recitation, quizzes, individual reporting and mid-term/final
examination, and compiled modules.
