What do you prefer, (a) or (b) etc. Fy swat for different types of fruits and vegetabes using fashcards. !ecipe game chop, sice, sha"e, mi# actions. Food fishing students have to find the correct food fashcard attached to magnetic fish and $hoo"% it up. &a"ing menus for imaginary restaurants and roe paying with them. 'he first wee" of this sub)ect is a good opportunity to review and famiiari*e the students with vocabuary words that they wi have studied in +, and +-, and to e#pand upon it. 'he students can ta" about how to ma"e food and how to divide foods into different categories using their favour eg/ saty, spicy, sour, sweet etc. It is aso a good opportunity for conversation practice i"e modeing going to a restaurant. Phonics &T' (!ke) This week we will do a review of all of the phonics covered this semester. We will go through each unit and practice the sounds and words. We will play writing games on the board where the students will write down words called out by the teacher or they will identify words that the teacher air writes! onto the board. We will also practice identifying words that rhyme with other words and will review key instructions from the "uestions# such as match#! read! and write.! After completing a review of the first $ units we will do a listening test where the teacher calls out words from the 1st four units and the students will write them down in their books. At the end of the week we will do a listening test from the last $ units in the booklet. This week the class will finish the %&ford 'honics World 2! booklet. The students will complete the last pages where they Wr!t!n# Pract!ce The students will be writing on their menus and ( will encourage them to be neat and structure their writing properly. C!rcle T!%e /e$!e" (t will be easy to combine the circle and activity time sessions this week by reviewing old food vocabulary in circle time and building it into new sentence structures in activity time.
