Christian Academy in Japan August 26, 2014

Welcome
Welcome to CAJ Elementary School. We are excited to be
partnering with you in your childs education. As I begin this year
I am wearing a new hat as principal. I will also be wearing the
chapel coordinator and elementary technology integration
specialist hats. These hats will provide me with many
opportunities to work with the students and the teachers in and
out of the classroom.
There are many important pieces of information for you to be
aware of and read. Please be sure to check the CAJ website and in
particular the Elementary Handbook.

There is a new food service, Cezars Kitchen. They will be posting
the menu on the calendar and information about the charges are
in the handbook.
Wednesdays are a late start, 9:30 am, to allow sta" to have
necessary weekly meetings. There is supervision available in the
cafeteria from 8:00 am for those families who need to drop o" a
child earlier. Please contact the Academic o#ce for details.
Please label your childs coats, umbrellas, shoes, lunch boxes, etc
that are brought to school. That helps in returning it to the
rightful owner. There is a lost and found in the library and in the
gym, but every year many things are lost, found and placed in the
library but never found by their original owner.
Each of the classrooms has a blog and I also have a blog on the
elementary school web links. Please be sure to look at them and
see what your child is doing in school. They are also great places
to begin discussions with your child about what he/she is
learning. Feel free to share the links with friends and family who
may live near or far but would enjoy seeing a glimpse of your
childs school life.
2 Equipping students to impact the world for Christ
First Chapel
I shared with the students about a
3 cornered hat. The crown is
Gods covering of our life. He
loves us and sent his son, Jesus
to provide salvation for us.
The rst side is CITIZEN. We are a
citizen of heaven and CAJ. A
citizen has rights and
responsibilities. What
responsibilities do you have as a
citizen of heaven? Of CAJ?
The second side is
AMBASSADOR. An ambassador
is an authorized messenger. We
are ambassadors for Christ but
also for CAJ. How will you be an
ambassador for Christ? CAJ?
The last side is STUDENT. We are
all students, learning in school,
learning more about God and his
love for us. Even the teachers are
learning! What does it mean that
you are a student?
How will these 3 words may a
difference in the choices you
make? In the things you do?
Please discuss these words and
questions with your child.
