Reassessment Policy
The purpose of retaking an assessment is to demonstrate improved knowledge
and skills
related to course learning targets. Therefore, students must frst
demonstrate that they have invested additional time and practice to
prepare for the reassessment. Examples of additional practice include:
homework, classwork, study group, ofce hours, etc. These examples provide
evidence that a student has increased learning and is prepared for
reassessment.
Guidelines for Reassessment
Students must complete and submit evidence of additional
practicepreparation before re!uesting to be reassessed.
Students will have a two week window following the return of the
assessment to complete a reassessment.
"eassessment window will only be extended if the student is actively
engaged in the reassessment protocol.
"eassessments will occur within the same !uarter
"eassessments from previous !uarters may occur per agreement

%ll reassessments must occur within the same school year
Reassessment Contracts
&f a student would like to retake a summative assessment, it is hisher
responsibility to complete a reassessment contract. Students may pick up
contract forms from the Eagle 'enter or a teacher. This contract will include the
following:
plan of evidence to demonstrate readiness to reassess
teacher approval of the plan with a due date
collection of evidence and contract will be the (ticket) to reassess
Showing Profciency
*ithin each standard assessed, a student must demonstrate a collection of
evidence to receive a pro+ciency score. &f a student misses a summative
assessment, they will receive a ,, indicating no evidence of pro+ciency for that
assessment. &t is at the teacher-s discretion to determine if a student needs to
complete all assessments.
I !Incomplete"
&f, in the .udgment of the teacher, student work is in progress, but incomplete,

grade may be given provided:
the student has worked cooperatively with the teacher to create a
reassessment contract
has attended help sessions, /fce 0ours, or other evidence of practice
has completed 123 of the coursework
% student is not eligible for a grade of (&) if they have not completed more than
123 of coursework by the end of the !uarter. To clear an (&) #by working with
the teacher to complete the necessary coursework$, a student has ten school
days after the end of the !uarter. %ll (&) grades that are not cleared,
automatically change to an (4.) There will be no &-s issued 5th !uarter.

&f the student has not completed 123 of the coursework or worked with the
teacher to create a reassessment contract by the end of the !uarter, then the
grade will post as is.
Missing Summative Assessments
Students may need to take another form of the assessment in their effort to
show proficiency.
Taking a missing assessment does not require all assignments to be completed.
Students who have missed or not taken a summative assessment will receive
a1 as a grade.
Requirements for Retakes:
1. Test corrections must be submitted prior to the retake attempt.
These should include an explanation of the incorrect thinking that led to
the wrong answer.
. !ny and all assignments for specific section or topic student wishes to retake
must be completed with work shown.
". #etakes taken after the quarter ends will only be those summative
assessments taken$completed during the last weeks of the term.
Students will have two weeks following the end of the term to
complete$take these retakes.
