about plural rules per se, or irregular plural forms... nothing li5e that. 3m gonna use ver7 simple e"amples of
plural 4ords such as dogs, cats and so on. 2ere3s 4hat mean: in Portuguese 4e sa7 things li5e 89u gosto
de cachorro.8 $r 89u gosto de gato.8 8Cachorro8 and 8gato8 are singular forms, right: 6o 4hen it3s time to
sa7 that in 9nglish, and 4e haven3t had enough e"posure to the language 7et, our impulse is to sa7 8 li5e
dog8 or 8 don3t li5e dog8, or 8 li5e cat8 and so on and so forth.
#ctuall7, the 4a7 4e sa7 that correctl7 in 9nglish is 3 li5e dogs.3 li5e cats. don3t li5e bees. 6o if 7ou still
hesitate 4hen 7ou3re about to sa7 8 li5e dog...s8, here are lots of e"amples: li5e dogs% she li5es cars% 4e
li5e boo5s% li5e cats% he li5es guitars% 7ou li5e 4omen% the7 li5e races% she li5es stra4berries. don3t li5e
motorc7cles, she doesn3t li5e bi5es, the7 don3t li5e e"ams, 4e don3t li5e s5irts, he doesn3t li5e movies. Notice
that all of the e"amples have countable nouns: one e"am, t4o bi5es, three 4omen, etc. ;hen 4e tal5 about
non)countable nouns, there3s no plural form. li5e information% he li5es bread% the7 li5e music.

can 7ou guess ho4 4e3d sa7 these things in 9nglish: <ep, using the plural forms. Cats are ver7 smart
animals. 0ogs are a lot of 4or5, and not Cat is a ver7 smart animal and 0og is a lot of 4or5. 3m gonna give
