Aug. 28, Thurs.- Jr. Youth will meet at 7 p.m. at the church. Sept. 3, Wed.-Youth Bible Study will meet at the church, 7 p.m. Sept. 6, Sat.-at 6 p.m. movie night at church showing "Mom's Night Out". Sept. 10, Wed.- Jr. Youth, JGA and JBA will begin meeting at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church from 7-8:30 p.m. JGA and JBA is for girls and boys in 2 nd -5 th
grade. Jr. Youth is for anyone in 6 th -8 th grades. These groups meet on the second Wed. of each month, September-May. The evenings include a devotional time and a variety of activities/speakers. Any child in these age groups is welcome to attend! There is no need to register before the first meeting. Sept. 13, Sat.-Fellowship Day and Chicken BBQ at Landis Homes 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Benefit Auction begins at 9 a.m. See brochure on the bulletin board for details. Cookies are needed for the Landis Homes Chicken BBQ by Sept. 12. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex if you are interested in donating 5 dozen. Contact Mary Ellen Musser with any questions. Sept. 17, Wed.-The Bible Released Program for the coming school year will be beginning. Interested Adamstown Elementary students in grades 3-5 are excused from school for one hour each Wed. for Bible instruction and scripture memorization. If you enjoy sharing Gods Word with children and are available 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Weds., please considering joining others in our church family by serving as a volunteer (Contact Sylvia or Darlene for more info.). Please pray that God would use this time with the students to have an eternal impact in their lives. Sept. 17, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet in the morning and afternoon. Everyone is invited to help with comfort knotting, quilting, or sewing on a sewing machine. You are welcome to stay for the entire day, or just a few hours as it suits you. School Kits are always in need for children whose lives have been uprooted due to war or natural disasters. The following items may not seem like much, but will make a big difference to them, as they attempt to bring some normality back into their lives by resuming their studies. A School Kit includes the following new items:4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8 X 10 ; 70 sheets), 1 ruler (flat, flexible plastic; indicating centimeters and inches), 12 colored pencils in packaging. Sewing Circle will provide a pencil eraser and 8 unsharpened pencils for each kit. Items can be brought to the church and Sewing Circle will see that they are taken to MCCs Material Resource Center. Sept. 21, Sun.-A hymn sing led by Aaron Groff, Lititz, will be held in the 1855 Allegheny Mennonite Meetinghouse, 39 Horning Road, Mohnton), at 2 p.m. If you have a copy of the 1927 Church Hymnal, please bring it with you. The goal of this program is to match up MS/HS students with adults in our congregation who will invest time in getting to know you, pray for you, encourage you and have fun with you! If you are interested in being a part of this program, please talk to Kelly Horning. -Would you enjoy helping young girls to have fun and grow in faith in Jesus? We need JGA leaders. JGA (Jr. Girls Association) is for girls in grades 2-5, and is
one of a series of monthly programs for children and youth run in cooperation between Bowmansville, Gehman, and Red Run Mennonite Churches. JGA meets at Bowmansville Mennonite Church from 7-8:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month during the school year. Interested? Please contact Pastor Phil.
