SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GRASS CUTTING UNDER CROSS COUNTRY LPG PIPELINE FROM OUTSIDE GATE NO 6 TO LIQUID CARGO
JETTY, JNPT. TENDER NO.
1. The contractor and his workmen should follow rules and regulations of our plant. The contractor
should follow the safety norms, as applicable in the plant and as directed by the corporation from time
to time.
2. The contractor has to ensure overall safety of all the workmen employed by him and should
provide safety shoes, protective clothing, helmet etc. The contractor shall also ensure that the safety
shoe/protective clothing, helmet, uniforms is regularly worn by all his workmen. Office may instruct for
stoppage of work if the safety norms are not complied with. The contractor has to ensure one
supervisors presence during the job and will be responsible to ensure safety of the labours working
under him.
3. The area cover under this tender is area of six meter width under cross country LPG pipeline
from Gate no. 6 to Liquid Cargo Jetty, JNPT.
4. The contract shall be valid for one year from date of LOI. However, the corporation reserves the
right to extend the validity of the contract by another one year or part thereof on the same rates, terms
and conditions subject to the satisfactory performance of the contract and on mutual consent.
5. The contractor will be required to collect all waste/scrap materials generated during the
execution of the job and deposit it at designated places on daily basis & disposed off the same at
designated place on regular basis.
6. Grass cutting job includes removal of all type of wet/dry vegetation, shrubs, plants, stems, any
unwanted material etc.
7. However, all grass removed from the root, cut grass, removed shrubs & roots are to be disposed
off on the same day before it gets dry. At any cost, no cut dry grass to be left under/near CCPL at any
point of time.
8. The contractor would be required to engage adequate number of manpower so as to carry out
all the work satisfactory. The persons employed should be of suitable age for brisk working and should
have knowledge about the work. No person above the age of 60 years or below 18 years shall be
employed by contractor to carry out the job.
9. The contractor will be required to maintain all statutory records like wage register, advance
payment register, attendance register, EPF, ESI or equivalent i.e. work men compensation coverage in
the formats advised by statutory bodies.
10. The contractor should also ensure that full wage payment to all his workmen before the 7th of
every month. The payment shall be effected in the presence of Admin Officer. The wage paid shall be in
accordance with minimum wages stipulated by the statutory bodies. The proof of payment made for
above mentioned statutory bodies viz PF, ESI, and returns if any etc, a copy of the document (meant for
previous month) should be submitted along with the invoice.
11. Petrol operated grass cutting machine shall be provided by corporation, however fuel required
to operate grass cutting machine along with machine operator, all tools, tackles, consumables etc.
shall be provided by contractor. Machine should be maintained in good working condition through the
year as handed over by the corporation. Same should be returned after completion of contract.
12. The rates quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and the statutory payments like EPF, ESI ets.
The service tax, if any should be quoted separately as per the RFQ format. The TDS and WCT shall be
deducted as per the prevailing statutory norms.
13. The tender are requested to visit the work site during normal working hours before quoting
their final rates. The rates quoted in the tender should be firm and final.
14. The contractor shall submit their running bill on monthly basis. He should attach the work report
signed by the officer in charge with his bill for prompt settlement. The contractor has to take signature
of the officer of the officer in charge after getting the work inspected by him in the standard format.
15. Contractor should fulfill all the requirement of the Contract Labour Act 1970, and the Minimum
Wages Act 1948. The contractor should take a license from the Labour Office and he should maintain all
the statutory registers and records.
16. No payment shall be made for the work half completed. In case the contractor failed to carry
out the job on particular day, company reserves the right to get the work done by any other contractor
and the charges upto 2 times of the normal rate shall be deducted from the running bills of the
contractor for making alternate arrangements. The measure for the completion of work is
arrived/accepted based on the signature of the officer in charge on the worksheet
17. In case Job is not maintained up to the company standard minimum penalty of Rs. 500/- will be
raised recovered from the bills. The penalty decision will lies with Officer- In charge. The decision of the
officer in charge is the full and final for penalty.
18. Tenderer in his own interest is advised to visit the site prior to submitting the tender. Any
clarification regarding the work can be asked from our Engineering Department before submission of

19. The tenders documents like any certificate, EMD etc should either be posted in the tender box
at our premises or sent by Register post / courier so as to reach us on or before the closing date and
time i.e. 04/10/2013 @ 1500 hrs at the address given below:
20. Tender Quantity is estimated quantity; It may or may not be exhausted entirely. This contract will be
valid for One year from date of issue of LOI or complete exhaust of tender quantity, whichever is earlier.
