Modeling, Partial Differential Equations, Game Theory, Transportation, Operations Research, Optimization,
Mathematical Modeling
Focus of Undergraduate Studies - Exhaustive and exclusive coursework in mathematics and computer science as
applied to different arenas that include core research sectors and industry
EDUCATION
Integrated M Sc. (Mathematics and Computing) Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA): 8.41/10 July 2009-Aug 2014
High School Certificate (I.S.C) Boys High School, Allahabad, India
Percentage Marks: 92% May 2008
Secondary School Certificate (I.C.S.E) Boys High School, Allahabad, India
Percentage Marks: 86% May 2006
SKILLS
Programming/Computational: C, Java, HTML, and Latex.
Proficient in Macros Programming in Excel and Matlab
INTERNSHIPS / PROJECTS

Research Assistant, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, INDIA May 2011-July 2011
Dynamic Relocation of taxi cabs (for Meru Cabs, largest cab service provider in India) in anticipation of future
demands of the customers. The number of cabs in respective areas in a city was determined by optimizing the
revenue functions against the utilizations constraints
Queuing Theory (M/M/s/k model) was used in conjunction with the Q-Macros in Excel, indicating the absolute
convergence of the revenues and utilizations. This led to an increase in average utilization of cabs by 7% and
increase in revenue by 12%
Developed a Mathematical Model to minimize the travelling cost (Transportation Routing Optimization Problem),
with various objective functions (linear and non-linear), which was solved using Solver in Excel
Jamming in Wireless Sensor Networks, IIT Kharagpur September 2011-Ongoing
Determination of optimal path in a sensor network in the presence of a mobile jammer using a Game-Theoretic
approach
This approach uses jammer and the network as two players, having mixed strategies and playing in a non
co-operative manner. It includes the dynamic nature of the jammer to model the problem in a stochastic manner
Other Projects
Designed a robust software to manage the database and accounts for Rani Basant Diagnostic Centre, India,
using Macros in Excel, that performs tasks in a more efficient manner as compared to the previous software

Implemented the Assignment Problem for finding a maximum weight matching in a

weighted bipartite graph

Implemented the problems exhibiting the properties of overlapping sub-problems including the shortest path for
non-negative (Dijkstras Algorithm) and negative weights (Bellman Ford Algorithm) and the combinatorial
optimization problem of maximizing weights under constraints (Knapsack Problem)
RELEVANT COURSEWORK
Programming and Data Structures, Economics, Transform Calculus, Partial Differential Equations, Design and
Analysis of Algorithms, Probability and Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Numerical solutions to ODE and PDE,
Real Analysis (Ongoing), Linear Algebra (Ongoing), Mathematical Methods (Ongoing), Object Oriented System
Design (Ongoing), Operations Research and Modelling (Ongoing)
