Superintendents Message
In order to provide a safe, nurturing, and healthy learning
environment at Central Middle School, Students are expected to
behave appropriately at all times. To this there are three main
goals at CMS. These Goals are: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be
Responsible. It is important for everyone (Students, Teachers,
Parents) to know that Central Middle School is our school
community. We all have a responsibility to ensure that our
community functions appropriately for each member of the CMS
Community. In order for this to occur, CMS Students are to also to
apply these goals inside and outside of the classroom.

Be Safe: When outside of the classroom, this means behaving in
a safe appropriate manner at all times. Each student has the right
to feel safe and be safe. Therefore, Each student has the
responsibility to behave in a manner that keeps everyone on our
campus safe. This also includes while students are traveling to
and from school.

Be Respectful: When outside of the classroom, Students are to
be respectful to each other as well as all staff that they encounter.
Each Student has the right to feel respected as a person.
Therefore, Each Student has the responsibility to treat everyone
they encounter on and off our campus with respect.

Be Responsible: Each Student has the right to learn. Therefore,
Each Student has the responsibility to behave responsibly in and
out of the classroom. Responsible student behavior has a
possitive effect on the learning of all students, When Students
behave responsibly, they achieve their own educational goals and
raise the level of educational expectations in students around
them. Responsible behavior helps others achieve their goals.
