learning through movement. We will examine why children have trouble focusing in the classroom such as their daily schedule,
diet, and amount of time they spend sitting. The techniques learned in this class will also help providers who have children with
ADHD symptoms.

PCAN M4: Helping Parents & Providers Understand Temperament

Every child (and adult) comes with their character and personality known as temperament. Sometimes these traits can lead to
challenging interactions. Join us to discover the three primary temperament types—flexible, fearful, and feisty—and discusses
“goodness of fit” both between child and adult. Learn strategies you as a child care professional can use in individualizing
your approach with children of each temperament type, as well as a discussion of attachment and its importance to children’s
