NEW CHECKLIST GUIDELINES/REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING

GOVERNORS CONSENT.
I. A duly completed and signed application made on land Form
1c to be sworn before a Notary public or a Magistrate.
II. A covering application letter by the Agent or by the Attorney
to the Applicant. Contained in the letter must also be the
address, telephone numbers, mobile numbers and where
possible an email address of the Applicant.
III. A certified true copy of the original title to the land.
I. A ban! certified Che"ue made payable to the #agos $tate
%overnment. &he e'act percentage is dependant on the
nature of the transfer, e.g. () for deeds of gifts or special
transactions, *) where the $tate +ight of ,ccupancy has
e'isted for 1- years or more, 1.) where the right of
occupancy is less than 1- years of the capital value of the
land, etc.

Charting fee, 3ndorsement fee and Form 1c.
I. ,ne 1undred Naira 0N1--2 as 4evelopment levy for each
party to the Application.
II. %enuine current ta' clearance certificates of the parties. For
mortgage applications, only the ta' clearance certificate of
the mortgagor is re"uired.
III. 5here one of the parties is a limited liability company, the
6ay7As78ou73arn 06A832 receipts for its staff and the
current &a' Clearance Certificates of at least two of its
4irector9s.
I:. 3vidence of payment of %round rent and land charges where
the application relates to $tate land or is covered by a
Certificate of ,ccupancy.
:. An Affidavit in lieu of &enement rate where the land is an
undeveloped land.
:I. Four 0;2 copies of the 4eed of Assignment or 6ower of
Attorney or $ub7#ease or 4eed of Mortgage < as is
applicable < are now re"uired to be submitted instead of
