Purpose of the Technical Tip
The use of the USB-port on the FSP 3000 R7 NCU requires the installation of an

windows XP. If the PC is connected to the NCU the new hardware is discovered

ADVA Optical Networking AG distributes this driver as CP2101.zip.
Tools to unzip this file are available under http://www.winzip.com.
The driver should be extracted to a folder on your PC before the USB

This Technical Tip assumes the driver in "C:\CP2101\WIN. To achieve this
result copy the CP2101.zip into the "c:\ directory and select the "Extract here
option available in WinZip

. The subfolders will be created automatically.

Follow the following procedure to install the driver:

1. Connect the PC to the NCU USB port. The Windows Driver installation
wizard will start automatically.
