Specific Resistance Kanfill has fair resistance to most alkalies and dilute acids, but poor resistance to hydrocarbon solvents.
General In the course of their existence, building often develops minor cracks. These manifest themselves as shallow surface cracks, gaps, around the door and window frames; crack in and around skirting boards along the floor and ceiling roses and other such fittings. Kanfill is suited for the filling of these cracks and gaps in order to protect against further damage.
APPLICATIONS All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, oil and grease .Ensure that all loose materials removed from the substrate .Apply kanfill using a trowel ensuring the the crack filler is firmly compacted into the crack or gap . Immediately after applications, remove excess kanfill from the crack or gap and smooth off with trowel, a flat knife or suitable damp cloth. Use mild detergent solutions for cleaning of tools.
Service Life and maintenance Anticipated life: 15 years Correctly applied kanfill should not require maintainance.However crack filler that has become Damaged, can be replaced by cleaning out the affected area, cleaning the crack or gap and applying fresh kanfill in the prescribed manner.
Health and Safety Avoid prolonged contact with skin. If kanfill comes into contact with eyes, flush with copious volumes of cold water and obtain medical attention.
