INTRODUCTION TO THE RESTAURANT

We are choosing Laksa Shack as a restaurant that we want to make over. This restaurant is
located at the ground floor of Plaza Shah Alam Seksyen 9. We choose this restaurant because we
want to upgrade this restaurant and to increase the number of customers to dine out at this
restaurant.

This restaurant can be divided into two sections which are front liner and back liner. For the back
liner, they have pre-prepared kitchen and wet kitchen. In the other hand, for the front liner, it is
serving area. The capacity of serving area can be fit by customer at one time is only about 40 to
45 person. The keluasan of this restaurant is about 24ft x 28ft.


BILLING SYSTEM
We are focusing on customer service. Giving a better or good service to customer can increase
the number of customers to dine at this restaurant. There are several problem that faced by this
restaurant especially about their billing system. Besides that, the weakness of this restaurant is
they only accept cash only, they did not accept credit or debit card. This can cause a problem to
the customer who did not bring the cash.


Besides that, when the waitress taking the order, the order is not directly sent to the kitchen and
to the counter to keluarkan bill. They write on the captain order and pass it to the kitchen and the
counter. So, we want to change the way of taking order and payment by change to the modern
cash register which is can directly keluarkan bill when the order sudah diambil. This cash
register comes with the PDA that use to taking order.
