Do Thai students benefit more from teacher lecture or from

student-directed instruction?

Literature review
In addition, the study will help in the learning process of thought. Which they receive
from teachers and learning by yourself. In learning students should find something useful for
themselves. In order to be useful in learning. From this point, there are several factors that will
benefit to Thai students s learn from teacher lecture, student-direct,internet and Self-regulations,
etc.
The learning style of Thai teenagers will different from many counties. Students rarely
interact or comment in class. They will answer when teacher called their name. Thai teenagers
do not like to comment on what they know. Some teenagers lack of self-confidence. Some
people think if answer wrong, they will feel ashamed from friends. As the result students that
learn from the teacher lecture. Teachers will persuade students to post a comment. This
enables the students to express themselves fully. It can affects the learners to pay attention in
class and feelings towards to teacher.
Student-directed instruction learn from internet by e-learning program. It is interpreted
differently from each person. It involves using technology, especially the internet to promote
learning. Which the content may be in the form of learning that we are familiar, such as
computer-assisted instruction, web-based instruction, on-line learning or may be located in such
a manner are not widely like video on-demand. As the results it is a form of learning that are
ready and have been more popular than in the past. Students can access e-learning very easy.
Most of the camps are used web browser anywhere. Students can use any computer. This
saves time and travel expenses.
Self-learning is tool that was created to try to find a solution that are not correct. In order
to improve standard of learners. It was developed ourselves in the group. It was the direct
instruction manual. They will not tell you the answer directly but they will help solve the problem
to enable the students to practice critical thinking. As the results students have taken the
initiative on their own. The self-learning is process where learners seek knowledge
independently. As required by the unlimited resources of time and place. By students are
responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of learning by themselves.
Self-regulated have an important role in creating their own beliefs to have academic
performance. This is a process of observation and decides for yourself. As the results people
learn on their own initiative to study. The brain will learn more than those who are only
recipients or wait for the teacher to transfer knowledge only. People learn by themselves will
study intently. Learner aims and motives can benefit from learning better and long time than
people that only awaiting taught.



Introduction
I do this research because education is important for people in studying age. Most
student come to study at school but some are get benefit from study but some are not. If that in
the past it doesnt have too much stimuli and environment is not obstacle to studying like in
present. If now you are student, you must hope yourself to study and get good grade and get
benefit.
So when school over or in holiday there are some student going to tutor and some
student learn by themselves. Not only study by yourself or teacher to make you have more
knowledge, You can ask somebody that have knowledge to teach you and find the information
from library and you can learn experience in your real life, not just only in classroom. But you
need to know yourself that you want to study by yourself or you need a teacher because
everyone is not the same. Everyone have different thinking and attitudes. It includes personal
objects and things that you like or do not like those things.
In addition to learning preferences, it can make you learn without getting bored. You
should also know what is useful to you study with teacher or yourself. So I want to know that
Thai teenager benefit more from teacher lecture or from student-directed instruction.

Methods / Procedure
At muids 10-1 & 10-6 and dormitory In my observation, I observe during study time and
afterschool. I observe between student that learn with teacher and learn by themself. During
class if student have question or doubt. They will ask from teacher or freinds. If after school
when they go back to dormitory. When they review what they have learn, if they dont
understand or have doubt. They will find from internet, book or they will read from note that they
have take it in class.
I will interview my friend in muids and my previous school because I have to edit data
from interview to analyze the benefit of teacher lecture and student-directed instruction. There
are four questions in this interview.
1. Who do you want to study with?
2. What is the benefit of teacher lecture or student-directed instruction (choose one)?
3. Where do you always study?
4. Why do you think that the one you choose is good or greater than other one?

dont know, its in fact, happiness , because study by teacher can understand better ,
dont boring , teacher is a person who has knowledge, like , use knowledge of teacher,
dont know, my parent order , teacher has more knowledge than me, think its good, easy
to understand if I doubt , I can ask, dont know, dont have knowledge enough , teacher
has knowledge, the best answers, understand better , dont like to study by myselff, dont

Study by themselves because economize, want to study by myself, freedom, love to
learning by myself and dont like to follow, easy to understand and has the way to
remember(ask friend),comfortable, that is good, experience , have intention, dont know,
like my way, dont like to have teacher, like, like to study besides study by teacher

Conclusion
In my research, I show that Thai students benefit more from teacher lecture more from
student-directed instruction.
