Cradle Roll & Rally Day for Aurora:
Our next Cradle Roll & Rally Day is on Sun.,
Sept. 7

at 9am. Cradle Roll is for all baptized
children ages 0 Kindergarten. New Cradle Roll
members will be honored d uring the service and
those entering Kindergarten will graduate.
In addition, third graders will be presented with a
Sparks Bible and there will be a presentation of
confrmation students and their mentors.
Photos will be taken following the service.
Starting at 10 a.m., all the S.S students,
teachers, and parents need to attend an
informative meeting. Following worship, a brunch
will be served.

Noisy Offering! Bring Your Coins to Church
This September, we are building school kits for children
o#erseas who want to go to school but don:t ha#e the
supplies %e also need to raise some money to mail the
kits; During the month of September, we will take a
noisy offering! during the children:s time, which will go
to the cost of sending these school kits <lease dig in
your couches and sock drawers for any loose change
and bring it to church;

Suicide is not something we li&e to tal& a,out. $ut as we+-e seen recently in the news
with the death o% o,in Williams and as we ha-e seen in our own community o-er the
past couple o% years" it is a pain%ul reality o% this li%e. .ost o% us" i% not all" ha-e ,een
impacted ,y suicide or thoughts o% suicide in some way. Some o% us ha-e lost %riends or
%amily to suicide. Some o% &now people who ha-e attempted it. And some o% us ha-e
considered it oursel-es.
So" let+s tal& a,out it.
As many o% you &now" our mission theme this year is Feeding Minds with the Love of
esus. 8ne o% our goals this year in caring %or people+s minds was to address the topic o%
mental illness and suicide.

*he meeting was called to order ,y /resident Angie Eelson.
Secretary+s report: *he minutes %rom 6uly 9th )014 were read with the corrections o% /aul Hor,el
,eing present %or the meeting" and ) num,ers in the report were switched. *he corrections were
made" and the minutes were appro-ed.

Sara made a motion to pay .el,y+s I o% the ,ill %or the repairs done to the /arsonage in August"

motion passed. 9a-e .el,y was on the roo% o% the parsonage when they repaired the %oundation
and reported that the shingles ha-e a good )!3 years le%t on them. A %ollow up with painting this
year" and siding in the %uture will ,e done.
8ne o% the slides on the play eJuipment has a ,rea& in it. Alicyn will chec& on warranty to get it
F3ed.

decided to say no due to there ,eing too many Juestions that we would need to get answers %or
