Biology involves the study of all living things from microorganisms to the most highly

developed plants and animals. Biology is an important foundation for students interested in
numerous careers including the medical field, health and fitness, natural resource
management, environment, agriculture, scientific research, and many others. Even if you
decide to pursue a career outside biology, a study of biology will still give you the practice
and scientific background to help you understand the world around you.
