To show how good you are with using all of the tools that are available in MS PowerPoint ,
for the next two weeks, you will make a PowerPoint presentation on an aspect on New
Zealand Maori history, culture, traditions, art etc
The information that you use in your PowerPoint will be researched on the !nternet The
resources that you gather will be collected into a "neNote Notebook # you will send this to
your teacher at the end of the pro$ect
%our final presentation will be marked by your teacher and the mark will be kept for your
future report This presentation will also be sent to your teacher

These have been written down in no particular order # you will need to make sure your read
all of them and understand what is re'uired of you if you want to gain full marks
Presentations should follow the (PowerPoint )ules* at the front of the classroom in

Two pages of references will be included at the end to show what websites you used
for your presentation
o the references must include the name of the website, the link to the website
and the date that you accessed it
o the images you have used are to be referenced on their own page

There will be one slide that gives historical information about Maori and where it is
thought they came from
There will be two slides that show current news items about Maori in New Zealand
%ou will have to research the !nternet to find the appropriate news items These
slides must contain the url of the news item and a lin$ to the actual article %ou must
also include an image from the news item The title of these slides is Maori in the
news
%ou will need to use at least two different websites for your sources of information
and two for your images
There will be one slide that explains about organi6ations that have been created to
maintain and develop Maori culture in New Zealand of the slide is the name of the
organi6ation
%ou must include the lo,o of the organi6ation on this slide and the -(+ of their
website
. slide called Credits will be at the end with of your presentation after the references
your name and the date on it # this slide will also have a custom animation that you
have created using your name and the date
The will also be an appropriate piece of Maori clip art added to one of the slides
There will be a "o. drawn around all of the pictures but not the clip art
Set up the slide show so that it runs automatically without you having to click the
mouse
