Unpaid Administrative Intern Required at the Piano Academy of Ireland

Job Description:
The Piano Academy of Ireland (PAI) is one of Ireland's newest but most dynamic Music Academies, producing great
piano students while simultaneously running two other related Programmes: Dublin Childrens Choir and our Sharp
Kids Programme. PAI also enjoys organizing exciting events including recitals, our annual National Piano Festival,
and Dublins 1

International Piano Festival (DIPF) coming in August 2013. The chosen candidate will play a very
important role in the running of a busy Office, keeping systems updated and ensuring the smooth communication
between teachers, parents and directors. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience into the running of a
dynamic musical organization, along with all its exciting events.
We are seeking preferably a graduate with good computer knowledge and administration background with an interest
in music and the arts. Candidates should have strong administrative skills, organizational ability and excellent
interpersonal skills. Previous experience in the fields of administration and PR is not essential but would be a bonus.
Key responsibilities:
Answering & returning telephone calls in a friendly, professional and efficient manner

Answering emails in a friendly, professional and efficient manner: templates to follow
Processing new enrollments
Updating Teachers Schedules & Mailing lists
Updating & Improving Office Systems
Updating Calendar of Events
Editing Academy Newsletters
Assisting the Directors in promoting/organizing Piano Festivals
General Office duties, including filing, copying, organizing
Developing Social Media Campaigns
Assisting in the production and distribution of promotional literature

Assisting on projects to include:
Communicating with public and media
Assisting in development of marketing content for Festivals and events
Assisting in event promotion and on-the-day assistance
Review and update existing marketing plan.
Developing a marketing and fundraising strategy appropriate for events and festivals.
Review advertising
Computer skills essential:
Basic knowledge of Apple Mountain Lion OS including iCal, contacts etc.
Microsoft Word, Excel including mail merge
Minimum requirements:
Fluency in English
BA or equivalent
Administration qualifications essential
General knowledge in music, arts and cultural knowledge
Superior writing skills
Strong social and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Deadline- oriented, ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledge of marketing, fundraising and effective online campaigns
Ability to multitask
Ability to work creatively with initiative to work independently
Strong levels of enthusiasm, initiative, motivation & energy
Trustworthy, responsible and reliable.
Additionally, the ideal candidate would have:
Track record of administration experience and events management
Previous experience in media relations, sales, publicity
PR/Marketing qualification
Details:
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 9:30am - 5:00pm
Interviews commencing 26 March 2013
Start date: 2 April 2013
Duration: 9 months
Wage: Intern will receive a weekly stipend of 100 after first week of training.
