VII. Course Description: This course deals with pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical/therapeutic
uses and toxicology of drugs. Emphasis is given on how a drug works to anticipate when giving a drug to
a patient are of paramount importance since responsibilities include administering drugs, assessing,
drug effects, intervening to make the drug more tolerable, and providing teaching about drugs and the
drug regimen.

IX. Course Outcome: At the end of the course, and given actual or simulated situations/conditions, the
student must have:
1. Applied the nursing process in care of individuals, families, population group in selected settings
