If the child continues to make the wrong choice, the teacher adds a 3 rd
cross to the board. The child is sent to parallel class to spend five minutes on the think spot. Children are then taken back to their own classroom to continue learning.
If the child continues to make the wrong choice, the teacher adds a 4 th
cross to the board. The child is sent to lunchtime exclusion (at the next lunchtime) from 12.15 12.35. Lunchtime exclusions in fixed intervention space and managed by TLRs on rota. TLRs will record details of children attending in daily record. If the child continues to make the wrong choice, they are to be referred to a member of the SLT. If a serious breach of e-safetyguidelines occurs the child is to be referred to SLT. SLT to decide on the appropriate action: recorded on SIMs, contacting parents, letter home, if appropriate timed exclusion in Management Office. Weekly review meetings (SLT and PST) will take place to identify key children causing concern.
Children causing concern will receive support from Mentors to address behaviour issues.
If children causing concern continue to cause concern then referred to external agency as appropriate. (SEBD to refer to PRU as appropriate).
If children continue to cause concern then: internal exclusions in Management Office. (measured in half days). Fixed term exclusions as determined by Principal and Governors. Permanent exclusions as determined by Principal and Governors. If a child makes a wrong choice on the playground, an adult on duty should investigate the incident and if appropriate give a verbal reminder about expectations, school rules and choices. If the child continues to make a wrong choice, an adult on duty should investigate the incident and if appropriate instruct the child to spend three minutes on the think spot. Playtime In the event of a serious incident (physical assault, racist abuse or leaving the school premises), child is to be escorted to the management office where a member of the SLT will decide on appropriate action.
